Sunday Opening. For Library Services on Sundays, the following conditions shall apply:

Sunday Opening. The parties agree that Sunday work will be governed as follows: Sunday will be the first day of the week for payroll purposes; Sunday hours will be over and above hours worked on Satu Monday to The basic work week for full-time will be Monday to Saturday; Sunday work will be voluntary to the extent possible and ro- xxxxx fairly amongst volunteers; If sufficient volunteers are not available, a co-operative effort will occur to achieve the staffing re- quired; Sunday work will be at double time: The Union agrees that should not be placed at a compet- itive disadvantage as a result of a current or future major competitor operating on Sunday at a premium of less than double time. The parties will, at the Company's request, negotiate a solution and the Union agrees to ratify the agreement with the membership.
Sunday Opening. Notwithstanding any other provision in the collective agree- ment, the rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday shall be the regular rate of pay plus $1.60 per hour. It IS understood that Sunday work is voluntary. Each store owner will decide whether Sunday hours will or will not be part of the regular work week. Regardless, in no circumstances will an employee who declines to work on a Sunday have his regular work week reduced for this reason.
Sunday Opening a) Staffing requirements for Sunday hours will be offered first to regular Employees, and then to auxiliary Employees. If an insufficient number of Employees are available, then additional staff may be hired to work Sunday hours.
Sunday Opening. (a) All hours worked between 10:00 p.m. Saturday to one hour after store closing on Sunday in conjunction with Sunday opening shall be paid at the regular hourly rate of the employee plus a premium of one dollar and sixty cents ($1.60) per hour. Any night shift hours scheduled and worked shall, in addition to the above, be paid the "night shift" premium.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday (a) For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; and when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Day Unless otherwise stated, reference to the terms "day," "days," "month," or "months" mean calendar day, calendar days, calendar month, and calendar months, respectively.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Holidays on Saturday or Sunday When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday. When a holiday falls on Sunday, the following workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday.

  • Monday morning (2) The employee should not work more than 16 hours without an 8 hour break.

  • Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day (December 25) Boxing Day (December 26) In addition to the above noted holidays, full-time employees will be eligible for two (2) floating holidays. The float holiday will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time prior to the end of the calendar year.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

  • Saturday and Sunday Work (a) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday, the employee will be paid a loading of 50% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period.

  • Holiday Overtime An employee required to work on any of the above-named holidays will be paid holiday pay plus payment for the number of hours worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) his regular straight time rate of pay.
