SUMMER WORKSHOPS. Summer workshops in curriculum and other areas of school activity shall be advertised to all Unit I members. Selection of personnel for these workshops shall be consistent with the objectives of the activity. Participation shall be voluntary.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS. A. Teachers who are employed in the months of July and/or August shall be compensated at the following rate per hour: 2015-2018 $33.00
SUMMER WORKSHOPS. Teachers who wish to attend a summer workshop, either in their major field of teaching, or in the field of their current teaching assignment, with Board or Board designee approval, will be reimbursed for registration fees, special equipment fees, and room and board when he returns for the new school year. Reimbursement will be made upon documentation of the expenses incurred within sixty (60) days after said documentation has been supplied to the Board.

  • Workshops During the month of September or October of each year during the term of this Agreement, there shall be held at each University a workshop for Department Chairs at which will be discussed their roles and responsibilities as such. Representatives of the University, at its election, and representatives of the Association, at its election, shall be permitted to participate jointly in such workshop.

  • Summer Work a. This section shall apply only to those employees hired to fill temporary summer positions.

  • Workshop The workshop purpose is to provide a training venue for TSS professionals engaged in LVC support and operational and institutional training. Official attendees are active duty military personnel, DOD civilians, and other personnel whose attendance is directed and paid for by a DOD/Army contract. Workshops are held annually in a CONUS location to accommodate all TSS Headquarters, Command, Installation, and supporting agencies involved with development, delivery, and support of the TSS program. The workshops may be attended by as many as 1,500 official participants, and include breakouts for each of the main TSS program areas, technical training with automated applications, briefings, and symposiums. The contractor shall provide evaluation of available venues, and assist with the selection and execute agreements to engage the venue. The contractor shall assist with the planning for the workshop to include preparation of required paperwork for Army conference approval. The contractor shall coordinate and execute the workshop including marketing, registration, logistical support, workshop operation, and After Action Reviews (AARs). There are no personal services associated with this contract.

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.

  • Faculty Workload The workload of faculty includes student advising, maintaining and improving expertise in a discipline and in pedagogy, serving on departmental and university committees, contributing to student growth and development, evaluating student performance, scholarly activities, and service to university and community, as well as teaching and class preparation. Additionally, as a professional, a faculty member shall devote a substantial amount of his/her workload to course preparation, research, the maintenance of professional expertise, innovations in teaching/learning and other similar activities. These endeavors shall comprise the faculty member’s workload.

  • Workforce Development MPC’s technical training program is having a major impact in the region. Online modules, short courses, webinars, and on site/videoconferencing events are reaching state and local transportation department employees and tribal transportation planners. By harnessing the capabilities of the four LTAP centers located at the MPC universities and the multimedia capabilities of the Transportation Learning Network (which was founded and is partly funded by MPC) more than 76 technical training events were offered in the second half of 2015. These training modules and short courses are critical to transportation agencies that need to improve or renew the skills of engineering technicians and other frontline workers. Many MPC courses or training events result in the certification of workers. Even when certification is not required, TLN’s online learning management systems allow employees and employers to set learning goals and monitor progress towards these goals. MPC is making another major impact in workforce development. Altogether, 57 graduate students are working on MPC research projects under the tutelage of faculty researchers. These graduate students represent the researchers and technical analysts of tomorrow. Without the MPC program and the stipend funds that it provides, these students may not be specializing in transportation; but, instead would be seeking career opportunities in other fields. The MPC research program allows faculty to mentor graduate students while allowing the students to work on projects for federal and state transportation agencies—thereby, gaining valuable practical experience.

  • Software Development Software designs, prototypes, and all documentation for the final designs developed under this agreement must be made fully transferable upon direction of NSF. NSF may make the software design, prototype, and documentation for the final design available to competitors for review during any anticipated re-competition of the project.

  • TEACHER WORK YEAR 6.1.1 Mapleton Public Schools and the Mapleton Education Association believe the teaching profession is demanding and rewarding, requiring time and commitments beyond contractual work hours. We further assert that the people involved in this profession are committed to the interest and lives of the students we serve. We acknowledge that maintaining a balance in personal and professional lives is essential to the health and well-being of all.

  • Teacher Work Day The term of contract for employees shall be one hundred ninety (190) days (maximum one hundred eighty (180) student days). Any extension of the term of contract shall be paid in full day increments and be paid at the rate of one-one hundred ninetieth (1/190) of the regular salary of the employee. The maximum daily hours of work for employees shall be 465 continuous minutes and shall include a minimum of thirty (30) minutes continuous, duty-free lunch period. No more than 375 minutes shall be student contact time. The teaching staff will receive one full day at the end of each quarter to be used in preparation of grades for report cards and conferences. Collaborative input may include regular and special education staff, para-educators, teaching specialist and administrators. In the event of a change in the student day, the Association will be informed of such change and given an opportunity to respond, provided, however, that exceptions to this section may occur in the event of emergencies or acts of God. The District shall make every reasonable effort to increase the amount of collaboration time available to professional employees within the normal work day. Xxx Xxxxxxxx shall make every reasonable effort to ensure equitable workload distribution and student contact time amongst staff members.

  • Design Development Phase Services 3.3.1 Based on the Owner’s approval of the Schematic Design Documents, and on the Owner’s authorization of any adjustments in the Project requirements and the budget for the Cost of the Work, the Architect shall prepare Design Development Documents for the Owner’s approval. The Design Development Documents shall illustrate and describe the development of the approved Schematic Design Documents and shall consist of drawings and other documents including plans, sections, elevations, typical construction details, and diagrammatic layouts of building systems to fix and describe the size and character of the Project as to architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, and other appropriate elements. The Design Development Documents shall also include outline specifications that identify major materials and systems and establish, in general, their quality levels.
