Summer Employment. 5.10.1 Summer employment is defined as temporary employment of employees during their non-contract days between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next school year in classifications covered by this agreement.

Summer Employment. 26.1 In selecting teaching staffs for summer programs, employment shall be offered to teachers who are certified and “Highly Qualified” in the subject area(s).
Summer Employment. A. Summer contracts shall be offered no later than May 1. A summer contract may be either a firm contract or a contingency contract at the discretion of the President. If a firm contract is offered by May 1 and accepted by the FACULTY MEMBER by May 15, it shall be mutually binding. If a contingency contract is offered by May 1 and accepted by the FACULTY MEMBER by May 15, the following conditions shall apply:
Summer Employment. Employees desiring summer work positions with the District will submit their names to the Director of Maintenance and Facilities before May 1 of any school year. Where qualified and available, these employees shall be given first consideration for this summer work.
