Summer Employment. 5.10.1 Summer employment is defined as temporary employment of employees during their non-contract days between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next school year in classifications covered by this agreement.
Summer Employment. 26.1 In selecting teaching staffs for summer programs, employment shall be offered to teachers who are certified and “Highly Qualified” in the subject area(s).
Summer Employment. A. Summer contracts shall be offered no later than May 1. A summer contract may be either a firm contract or a contingency contract at the discretion of the President. If a firm contract is offered by May 1 and accepted by the FACULTY MEMBER by May 15, it shall be mutually binding. If a contingency contract is offered by May 1 and accepted by the FACULTY MEMBER by May 15, the following conditions shall apply:
Summer Employment. Employees desiring summer work positions with the District will submit their names to the Director of Maintenance and Facilities before May 1 of any school year. The District, whenever practicable, will fill summer site positions from the submitted list of current site employees who are qualified for such positions. Employees assigned to such positions shall be considered temporary employees and may be employed in such status for periods longer than one (1) month.
Summer Employment. The following procedures shall apply for the purpose of determining Adventure Club summer program staff:
Summer Employment i. Approved instructional/planning time shall be paid at the rate of $30.00 per hour.
Summer Employment. Summer work positions will be filled by current employees, whenever possible. If summer work is an extension of the same job, the employee shall receive pay presently in force for the employee’s position.
Summer Employment. By April 1st of each year, the Human Resources Division will post notices reminding Transportation and Food Service employees desiring summer employment in the service occupations to apply for such employment. Where qualified and available, these employees shall be given first consideration for this summer work.
Summer Employment. Summer routes, if available, shall be posted for bid prior to the end of the school year and shall be awarded on seniority basis.
Summer Employment. Announcement of tentative temporary summer employment opportunities over which the Board has jurisdiction and budgeting authority (excluding summer school teaching positions) will be made by April 15th each year. Unit members may apply between April 15th and April 30th. Announcements of selection of participants will be made by May 15th, contingent upon budget approval by fiscal authorities.
