Summer Appointments. Summer appointments may be made for summer instruction, research or other activities.
Summer Appointments. (1) Available supplemental summer appointments shall be offered equitably and as appropriate to qualified employees, not later than five weeks prior to the beginning of the appointment, if practicable, in accordance with written criteria. The criteria shall be made available in each department/unit.
Summer Appointments. (a) The summer instructional appointment includes the normal activities related to the course, such as appropriate course/instructional preparation, lecturing, supervision, grading, and appropriate availability for consultations and conferences with students in the course. The summer instructional appointment does not include other credit-generating activities (such as thesis or dissertation supervision, directed individual studies, supervised teaching or research/scholarship/creative activities, or supervision of student interns).
Summer Appointments. Any educator who wishes to be notified of an acting position vacancy 10 that may occur during the summer shall notify the Superintendent in writing prior to June l of 11 each year, indicating the position of interest and the educator's summer address. Each such 12 educator shall receive a written notice of any indicated acting position vacancy, postmarked at 13 least ten (10) calendar days before the date of appointment for vacancies occurring prior to July 14 1, and five (5) calendar days for vacancies occurring after July l.
Summer Appointments. If summer instructional assignments are offered to NTT Faculty, the factors to be considered will include, but not be limited to:

If a unit member's summer session assignment is canceled due to low enrollment, or some other factor, at the discretion of the University, no extra compensation shall be due the unit member. Unit members holding an academic year appointment and employed in the summer for non-instructional purposes may receive up to one-ninth (1/9) of the academic year base salary for each month of such assignment, up to a maximum of one-third (1/3) of the base academic year salary for a three (3) month assignment. Unit members holding an academic year appointment and employed in the summer for instructional purposes shall be compensated at a minimum of one thousand three hundred dollars ($1,300) per credit hour, but not less than the current practice in place at each MAU as of the date of this Agreement.
Summer Appointments. The SOE department chairs work with the Xxxx to determine summer contract opportunities for faculty based on enrollment demands and faculty qualifications, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Summer Appointments. 25.1.1 - At the discretion of the employing unit, eligible graduate students may be offered appointments covering all or part of the University's Summer Session. The number of such appointments and their duration will be determined by the employing unit, based on the anticipated workload or enrollment for Summer Session.
Summer Appointments. Nothing herein shall require that an NTT Faculty member accept a summer or intersession appointment.
