Common use of Summary Dismissal Clause in Contracts

Summary Dismissal. The Company shall have the right to dismiss an employee without notice for conduct that justifies instant dismissal, including theft, violence and being under the influence of alcohol, any prohibited drug or any drug that may affect driving ability while at work. In such cases the wages shall be paid up to the time of dismissal only.
