Sufficient Cause for Action. The appointing authority may dismiss, suspend, temporarily reduce the pay of, or demote any employee for cause. The reduction in pay may not exceed five percent (5%) for a three (3) month period. The following are sufficient causes for such action; the list is indicative rather than inclusive of restrictions and dismissal, suspension or demotion may be based on reasons other than those specifically mentioned:

Suspensions without pay shall not exceed thirty (30) calendar days unless ordered by an arbitrator, an adjustment board or the Merit Board.   • Termination Without Cause The Company may terminate the Executive’s employment hereunder at any time without Cause. Any termination by the Company of the Executive’s employment under this Agreement which does not constitute a termination for Cause under Section 3(c) and does not result from the death or disability of the Executive under Section 3(a) or (b) shall be deemed a termination without Cause.
