Substitute Hours. When a substitute will be used and KCLS has at least two days’ notice of the need, KCLS will first offer the hours to those in the Region or department in the relevant classification who are eligible for substitute hours at straight time rates. The parties acknowledge that the manager must fill the hours promptly. The Employer will bring to the Labor- Management Committee any proposed material changes in its procedures for offering substitute hours to bargaining unit employees.

Substitute Hours. Regular hours assigned to a work site, may or may not be predictable, but 38 typically caused by employee absences and/or temporarily open positions. Management shall 39 give preference to regular employees for substitute time as needed, or may utilize the substitute 40 list. To substitute for Manager positions (positions in levels F, G and H on the Salary 41 Schedule), employees must have valid WSNA/SNA Certification. To substitute for positions in 42 Level E, longer than 30 working days, employees must have valid WSNA/SNA Certification.

Substitute Hours. Work resulting from the absence of a regular driver shall be considered substitute work. Such work shall not be considered "Extra Hours" for any purpose including the determination of benefits. When practical and not requiring overtime, substitute work will be offered to regular drivers who are available to accept such work without disrupting their normal work schedules.

  • Substitute days 17.7 The Employer, with the agreement of the Employees concerned, may substitute the day an Employee is to take off for another day in the case of a breakdown of machinery, or a failure of shortage of electric power, or to meet the requirements of the business in the event of rush orders or some other emergency situation.

  • Substitute Teaching An adjunct faculty member who is interested in a substitute teaching assignment may be assigned to teach as a substitute in a course section for which the adjunct faculty member is qualified to teach. Each semester an adjunct faculty member may submit to the appropriate Xxxx a written request, on a form provided by the College, which shall indicate his/her willingness and availability to act as a substitute teacher and a reliable means by which to contact the adjunct faculty member on short notice. After- hours, holiday and weekend support for Severity 1 and Severity 2 issues is available by calling 0-000-000-0000, option #8.

  • Core Hours (1) The default core hours for employees on Maxiflex schedules will be the 3 middle days of the employee’s tour of duty from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., excluding a meal break.

  • Reasonable Additional Hours All hours worked over an average of 38 ordinary hours per week, will be deemed to be additional hours. All hours worked by permanent part-time employees beyond their specified number of hours will be treated as additional hours for the purpose of this subclause. From time to time, employees may be required to work a reasonable amount of additional hours. All additional hours worked will be paid in accordance with this Agreement. An employee may not be required to work additional hours in circumstances where the working of additional hours would result in the employee working hours which are unreasonable having regards to (refer to section 226 of the Act):
