Study Support. The parties recognise the importance of the acquisition of relevant professional knowledge and skills and/or the continued development of relevant skills and knowledge of employees through study programs. Study assistance, in accordance with Council’s Study Support Principle and Guidelines applying at the time will be available, subject to budget availability, to those employees who elect to undertake approved programs of study. Clause 29 – Family Leave Employees will be credited with 10 days sick/family leave, which can be used for either sick or family leave, and two days’ bereavement leave. The 10 days sick leave entitlement is cumulative – the two day bereavement leave entitlement is non-cumulative. The duration of family or bereavement leave utilised under this clause will be subject to mutual agreement between the employee and appropriate corporate leader, and will take into account particular circumstances that exist at the time of application. The taking of such leave will be in accordance with the criteria outlined in Clause 6.6 Sick Leave and 6.8 Family Leave of the Award. The parties recognise that some employees may be the only available carer for a family member who is not specified as ‘immediate family’ in Clause 6.8 of the Award. Such employees may apply for family leave to care for this family member in circumstances where no other person is able to provide such care – including a certificate from the treating medical practitioner citing such need.

Study Support. The Contractor shall provide study support such as study vignette development or dynamic scenario development in times of high TRAC priority shifts. Under these circumstances, the Contractor support effort will be applied toward or in lieu of completion of either one or parts of the scenario development tasks under paragraph 5.2.1 to paragraph 5.2.6.

Students must ensure their final work submission is submitted no later than 14 days prior to the course end date (in line with the work submission policy of one work submission per week) and all marking and feedback is received a minimum of seven days prior to the end date of studies to allow time for verification of study completion.
Study Support. (a) A Medical Practitioner shall be entitled to 5 weeks paid Sabbatical Leave after each 5 years continuous service, which may, subject to application and approval by the employer, be used for the purpose of training, education and study within Australia or overseas.

Students who are struggling with their course work, or would like to find ways of being more successful will be supported by study skills workshops, one-to- one support and study support resources. In 2013/14, we will work with students from priority groups to identify ways of improving engagement with these services.

Institute Membership All Students wishing to study an Institute course MUST be registered with the relevant Institute prior to examinations. It is the student’s responsibility to maintain membership; without which a certificate cannot be awarded, and to pay the Institutes’s annual fee.
