Study programme. The SINReM programme 2021 – 2023 starts 3 September 2021 at Ghent University and ends with the solemn graduation ceremony in September 2023. To fully and successfully complete the programme, the student needs to complete the entire mobility scheme, pass all the courses the student has registered for, successfully complete the 10 ECTS credits internship, successfully defend the 30 ECTS credits master thesis, and obtain a minimum of 120 ECTS credits.

Study programme. The IMSOGLO programme 2021 – 2023 starts in the 1st week of September 2021 at Ghent University and ends with the solemn graduation ceremony during the 3rd week of September 2023 (or an alternative date assigned by Ghent University). To fully and successfully complete the programme, the student needs to complete the entire mobility scheme in one of the specializations, pass all the courses the student has registered for, successfully defend the master thesis, and obtain a minimum of 120 ECTS credits. Upon a successful completion of the programme, the student will receive a joint diploma awarded by the consortium carrying the degree of International Master of Science in Soils and Global change, with the specialization either: Soil Biogeochemistry and Global Change or Physical Land Resources and Global Change depending on the specialization taken by the student. This diploma is accompanied by a joint diploma supplement signed by the involved universities in that specific specialization, entitling the student to bear the title of Master of Science. Course unit: A defined whole of teaching, learning, and assessment activities, aimed at acquiring defined competences or parts thereof. Study profile: An ordered list of the specific competences/learning outcomes acquired within a study programme. Curriculum: A coherent set of course units aimed at the achievement of the described competences/the learning outcomes which the person completing the study programme should possess. Department Council: Joint representative body composed of elected students and staff members from a department under the Chairmanship of the Head of the department. Participation Forum: Deliberation and consultation body of the UAS with four student representatives from the Artevelde UAS Student Council and four representatives from the UAS Board. Partner institution: Educational institution the UAS has an agreement with for the organisation of a joint programme. Personal study track: A study track tailored to a particular student which deviates from a standard study track. A distinction is made here between a personal partial study track and an individual study track which includes course units from various programmes. Plagiarism: Using all or part of one's own work or someone else's work without marking that it is a quotation and/or without adequate acknowledgement of the source. This applies to all types of sources (texts, images, music, databases, etc.). The use of translations and paraphrases without adequate acknowledgement also falls under plagiarism. In addition, the following serious forms of exam fraud are closely linked to plagiarism: having someone else write or edit your paper; simulating or falsifying research data. Plagiarism is considered by the UAS as an irregularity. Practical supervisor: Person commissioned by Artevelde UAS to supervise the student during practical classes.
Study programme. In accordance with the scheduling of the periods of stay, the student must carry out the training/research (by attendance or credit recognition) that ensures the compliance with the minimum duration of the study cycle required in each university for the defence of the thesis. Despite of this requirement, the deadline for completion of the study cycle may be extended until the expiration date of the thesis registration. The several academic and research activities of the doctoral student must meet the requirements of both programmes in which the student is enrolled and must comply with the regulations in force in both institutions. When applicable, each institution will recognize, based on the information detailed in article 21 of the present agreement, the seminars, courses and research work successfully completed by the doctoral student at the partner institution. Each party will be responsible for transmitting, in a written form, to the other institution the results of the exams and the research papers.
