Common use of STUDENT’S RIGHT TO CANCEL Clause in Contracts

STUDENT’S RIGHT TO CANCEL. I understand that I must be officially registered by the start date of the course in order to participate in and receive academic credit for the courses. I understand that I am required to attend each of my courses during the first week of the course in order to maintain enrollment. If I do not attend my course, I can be dropped. I am responsible for knowing and complying with any and all registration deadline dates. Students have the right to cancel the enrollment agreement and obtain a refund of the refundable charges paid through attendance at the first class session, or the seventh day after enrollment, whichever is later. All requests to withdraw from the course registrations must be in writing and be received by my academic program office. I understand that notifying my professor does not constitute a withdrawal. I also understand that if I do not attend my classes, I am responsible for ensuring that I officially withdraw myself from the courses. If I do not do this, I understand that I am responsible financially for 100% of the course cost. I have reviewed the attendance policy in the course catalog. If I withdrawal in a timely manner and follow guidelines and policy, I understand that the Enrollment fee and non-refundable course materials fee are non-refundable as well as the Student Tuition Recovery Fund fee (STRF). Institute of Healthcare, Inc does not provide financial aid or other types of loan. If the student obtains a loan to pay for an educational program, the student will have the responsibility to repay the full amount of the loan plus interest, less the amount of any refund. At this time our institution does not offer title IV (financial aid) federal, or state funding. If the student defaults on a federal or state loan, both the following may occur: 1) The federal or state government or a loan guarantee agency may take action against the student, including applying any income tax refund to which the person is entitled to reduce the balance owed on the loan. 2) The student may not be eligible for any other federal student financial aid at another institution or other government financial assistance until the loan is repaid. If the student receives federal student financial aid funds, the student is entitled to a refund of the money’s not paid from federal financial aid funds.

Course Withdrawal Procedures: The applicant must officially register by the start date of the course in order to participate in and receive academic credit for the courses. The applicant is required to attend each of the courses during the first week of the course in order to maintain enrollment. If they do not attend the course, they can be dropped. The applicant is responsible for knowing and complying with any and all registration deadline dates. All requests to withdraw from the course registrations must be in writing and be received by the academic program office within the first week of the course due to the accelerated program dates. Notifying the professor does not constitute a withdrawal. If the applicant does not attend the classes, they are responsible for ensuring that they officially withdraw themselves from the courses. If they do not do this, they are solely responsible financially for Institute of Healthcare, Inc. 0000 X. Xx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxx 000, Xxxxxxxxx, Xx, 00000 (442) 222 – 5012100% of the course cost. If the applicant withdrawals in a timely manner and follow guidelines and policy, the application fee and non-refundable deposit are non-refundable as well as the Student Tuition Recovery Fund fee (STRF). If you have completed 60 percent or less of the scheduled days in the current payment period in your program through the last day of attendance, you will receive a pro-rated refund. The refund will be less a registration or administration fee not to exceed $250.00, and payment will be provided within 45 days of withdrawal. If the student has completed more than 60 percent of the period of attendance for which the student was charged, the tuition is considered earned and the student will receive no refund.
