Student Seniority. 1. A student is defined as any employee regularly attending High School, University, College, Vocational Institution or other educational institutions requiring attendance at scheduled classes. Students may be required to verify their attendance and class times.
Student Seniority. Once a student is no longer enrolled in school, a student employee will proceed to regular employee status. As of the date the employee is no longer a student, the employee will receive seniority credit for one half of the employee’s time worked as a student. Students must provide the Employer with a letter stating the date they are finished with school.
Student Seniority. Students regularly attending classes at a recognized educational institution shall be considered to have restricted their availability. There shall be two (2) groups of students for scheduling purposes: Group "A" Students: Hours worked by these student employees shall not be subject to claim by junior employees within their classification; up to a maximum of twenty (20) hours per week. Group "A" Students must be available for shifts when not attending classes. They may not restrict their availability to less than sixteen (16) hours per week. Group "B" Students: Are eligible for available shifts on Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays. Hours worked by these student employees shall not be subject to claim by junior employees within their classification; up to a maximum of twelve (12) hours per week. However, these Group "B" Students will be considered to have restricted their availability to a maximum of twelve (12) hours per week (twenty [20] hours during a stat week and twenty-four [24] hours during a week with two [2] stats) during the school year. It will be the responsibility of the student to advise his/her Manager as to which group he/she will be scheduled in June of each year. Students shall inform the Store Manager in writing when they have ceased being a Student. When a Student proceeds to part-time status, they shall be given credit for their Student years of service according to the following formula:

Student Seniority. The Employer has the discretion to determine if student employees will be terminated at the end of their student status or transferred into available regular positions. If the student employee continues employment with the Employer, he/she shall receive credit for student hours worked for seniority for non-economic purposes only except that seniority (compensated hours) will be credited to a student employee who obtains a regular position for movement on the wage scale.
