Student Performance Goals. The School agrees to make reasonable progress towards meeting State academic standards as defined by the Colorado AEC School Performance Framework, as well as making reasonable progress toward meeting state standards across subgroups and subindicators. Reasonable progress will be established through the implementation of annually revisited and agreed-upon academic targets, developed through use of the Unified Improvement Plan process. The School’s progress will be monitored with the Institute performance calculator, and evaluated annually with the Institute dashboard. In addition to schoolwide targets, the School shall develop specific performance targets for identified areas of improvement. These include but are not limited to students eligible for free and reduced lunch, adequate progress in Math at the elementary and high school levels, as well as measures of postsecondary readiness. In the event that the School does not meet its annually agreed-upon targets, the School must work with the Institute utilizing the School’s interim assessment results to develop seasonal benchmark targets in addition to their UIP targets. Student performance results on the state assessment shall surpass results of comparable Colorado schools serving similar populations. Selection of the comparison group will be determined by the Institute, utilizing a set of standardized criteria to include size, grades served, and demographic characteristics. The School acknowledges that this comparison group may change over time to better reflect the changing demographic makeup of the school. The Institute agrees to provide the School with the opportunity for input into any proposed changes before they are finalized.
