Student Insurance. School shall require that during the term of each student’s clinical rotation, each student shall be covered by comprehensive general and professional liability insurance to protect the student, Facility and University against liability arising from any and all negligent acts or incidents caused by the student. Coverage under such insurance shall be with limits not less than $1 million each claim, $3 million policy aggregate, on a claim made basis including three (3) years extended reporting period. In addition, University shall require that student procures and maintains in force health insurance coverage throughout the term of the student’s clinical practica at the Clinical Site.

Student Insurance. The Board of Education has authorized the principal of each school to send out information on a school accident insurance policy. Since the school district, by law, cannot pay for the medical and hospital expenses incurred as a result of an accident at school, we recommend this insurance policy. These policies are sent with each student at the beginning of the school year.

Student Insurance. All students performing field work and similar activities who are registered in for-credit courses for which the placements are required are covered with general and/or professional liability insurance with blanket policies. A certificate of insurance can be obtained upon request for Student Professional Liability.

Student Insurance. The Office of Residential Living is not responsible for the loss, damage, valuables, money or destruction of Student’s personal property unless such loss, damage, or destruction is the direct result of negligence on the part of the Office of Residential Living. It is the Student’s responsibility to acquire or extend family insurance to cover his/her belongings, if such coverage is desired.
