Student Insurance. School shall require that during the term of each student’s clinical rotation, each student shall be covered by comprehensive general and professional liability insurance to protect the student, Facility and University against liability arising from any and all negligent acts or incidents caused by the student. Coverage under such insurance shall be with limits not less than $1 million each claim, $3 million policy aggregate, on a claim made basis including three (3) years extended reporting period. In addition, University shall require that student procures and maintains in force health insurance coverage throughout the term of the student’s clinical practica at the Clinical Site.

Student Insurance. The Board of Education has authorized the principal of each school to send out information on a school accident insurance policy. Since the school district, by law, cannot pay for the medical and hospital expenses incurred as a result of an accident at school, we recommend this insurance policy. These policies are sent with each student at the beginning of the school year.

Student Insurance. All students performing field work and similar activities who are registered in for-credit courses for which the placements are required are covered with general and/or professional liability insurance with blanket policies. A certificate of insurance can be obtained upon request for Student Professional Liability.
Student Insurance. If a student insurance waiver is submitted after the Waiver Deadline (one week after classes begin), a pro-rated refund will be issued based on the number of days remaining in the semester. Student Insurance. The Office of Residential Living is not responsible for the loss, damage, valuables, money or destruction of Student’s personal property unless such loss, damage, or destruction is the direct result of negligence on the part of the Office of Residential Living. It is the Student’s responsibility to acquire or extend family insurance to cover his/her belongings, if such coverage is desired.

Insurance envelopes will be distributed during student registration. Students with school insurance who become involved in accidents which require medical attention should contact the school nurse. Adopted: May 16, 2019 Jersey CUSD 100 4:110 Transportation The District shall provide free transportation for all students in the District: (1) residing at a distance of one and one-half miles or more from their assigned schools, unless the Board has certified to the Illinois State Board of Education that adequate public transportation is available or (2) if adequate public transportation is not available, within one and one-half miles from his or her assigned school where walking to or from school or to or from a pick-up point or bus stop would constitute a serious safety hazard due to either (a) vehicular traffic or rail crossing or (b) a course or pattern of criminal activity, as defined in the Ill. Streetgang Terrorism Omnibus Prevention Act, 740 ILCS 147/. Astudent’s parent(s)/guardian(s) mayfile a petition with the Board of Education requesting transportation due to the existence of a serious safetyhazard. Free transportation services and vehicle adaptation for special education students shall be provided if included in the students’ individualized educational programs. The District mayprovide transportation to and from school-sponsored activities. Non-public school students shall be transported in accordance with State law. Homeless students shall be transported in accordance with Section 45/1-15 of the Education for Homeless Children Act. Xxxxxx care students shall be transported in accordance with Section 6312(c)(5)
