Student Discipline Policies. The Board and the Association recognize the need for a uniform pupil disciplinary policy in the District. The Board shall develop and promulgate rules and regulations regarding the discipline, suspension, and expulsion of students. Such rules and regulations shall be publicized by the Board. It shall be the responsibility of the administration and teachers to enforce the rules and regulations so adopted. It is also agreed that such policies shall be enforced fairly and consistently. All such rules and regulations shall be in conformity with such guidelines as are issued by the State of Michigan. Policies shall be distributed to teachers, pupils and parents at the beginning of each school year. Each building shall develop its procedures for implementing these policies.

Student Discipline Policies. Upon hire, and whenever the District amends student discipline policies, each employee will be provided with a copy of the District policies which govern student discipline; student, employee and administrator rights, responsibilities, and authority; and student procedural due process rights. If an update in discipline policy occurs, all regular employees will be provided with an updated copy within seven (7) workdays. Substitute employees shall have the updated policies available at the building.

  • Student Discipline CONTRACTOR shall maintain and abide by a written policy for student discipline that is consistent with state and federal law and regulations. Using forms developed by the California Department of Education or as otherwise mutually agreed upon by CONTRACTOR and XXX, CONTRACTOR shall provide LEA, on a monthly basis, a written report of all incidents in which a statutory offense is committed by any LEA student, regardless if it results in a disciplinary action of suspension or expulsion. This includes all statutory offenses as described in Education Codes 48900 and 48915.CONTRACTOR shall also include incidents resulting in the use of a behavioral restraint and/or seclusion even if they were not a result of a violation of Education Code Sections 48900 and 48915. When CONTRACTOR seeks to remove a student from his/her current educational placement for disciplinary reasons, CONTRACTOR shall immediately submit a written discipline report to the LEA. Written discipline reports shall include, but not be limited to: the student’s name; the time, date, and description of the misconduct; the disciplinary action taken by CONTRACTOR; and the rationale for such disciplinary action. A copy of the student’s behavior plan, if any, shall be submitted with the written discipline report. CONTRACTOR and XXX agree to participate in a manifestation determination at an IEP meeting no later than the tenth (10th) day of suspension.

  • Discipline Policy A Discipline Policy Committee will be formed upon the request of the Association or the Board of Education. The committee will be comprised of members appointed by the Board and the Association. By the appropriate means determined by the Board, families will be informed of the District's policies regarding student behavior and discipline procedures. The foregoing committees, study groups, or faculty councils shall serve as advisory, consultative and fact-finding bodies only, and the Board shall not be required to adopt any of the recommendations submitted. The Board agrees, however, that the Association and the teachers shall have the right to submit recommendations and views on these subjects.

  • STUDENT DISCIPLINE AND TEACHER PROTECTION A. The Board recognizes its responsibility to give all support and assistance to teachers with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline in the classroom. Whenever it appears to the teacher and a representative of the Board that a particular pupil requires the attention of special counselors, social workers, law enforcement personnel, physicians or other professional persons the Board will take steps to relieve the teacher of responsibilities with respect to such pupil.

  • Personnel Policies The School shall adopt, update, and adhere to personnel policies. These policies must be made readily accessible from the School’s website or school office, as described in Section 11.4.1. If the policy is not available from the School’s website, the School shall submit the current policy to the Commission.

  • Leave Policies III.P.1. Return at Expiration of Leave Upon the expiration of any leave, other than a military leave, the employee shall be returned to the same class of position or to any position to which the employee had been eligible to transfer at the time the leave of absence was granted.

  • DISCIPLINE PROCEDURES The discipline procedure may be initiated only within twenty (20) Days of the date the President or Vice-President (Academic and Research) knew, or ought reasonably to have known, of the occurrence of the matter giving rise to discipline. The Employer shall have the right to request, in writing to the Union, an extension of ten (10) Days. The Union shall not unreasonably reject the Employer’s request.

  • Peer Assistance and Review Program 1. MCEA and MCPS agree to jointly operate a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Program. The PAR Program is a mechanism for maintaining systemwide quality control and ensuring that all MCPS teachers responsible for teaching students are functioning at or above the high MCPS standards of performance. It provides intensive assistance for any teacher who has not yet achieved that standard or who falls below acceptable standards. Assistance and review are provided to both experienced MCPS teachers in need of significant improvement and teachers in their first year of teaching.

  • Teacher Discipline In the event the District takes a disciplinary action against a teacher, the standard to be applied is whether or not the disciplinary action was for just cause. It is specifically agreed that this section shall not apply to a decision by the Board to terminate a teacher or to not renew the contract of a teacher.
