Student Discipline Committee. The Board and the Union agree that student discipline and a safe and secure environment for students and PSRPs is paramount. To this end, the Union shall appoint three (3) individuals from the PSRP bargaining unit to add to the Student Discipline Committee under the BTU Teacher Agreement with the Board.
Student Discipline Committee. At least one representative from the teachers’ association from each building shall be a member of the school’s student discipline committee that meets a minimum of once per year for the purpose of improving and defining school discipline and/or consequences policies as required in 105 ILCS 5/10-20.14.

Each party shall appoint its respective members with at least two (2) members representing each. Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, the committee shall meet at least once per month from September through May each school year. The purposes of the committee shall be to implement effective, consistent, district-wide responses to disruptive student behavior, to consider and protect the rights of all students to a quality education, and to improve communication and coordination between teachers and administration regarding student discipline.

A Statewide Labor Management committee consisting of not more than five (5) members selected by the VSEA from among the bargaining units represented by VSEA and not more than five (5) members selected by the State shall meet periodically to discuss a mutually agreed upon agenda which may include methods of improving labor relations, productivity, safety, and health problems of a continuing nature, or other problems which have an impact on conditions of employment; provided, however, these sessions are not for the purpose of discussing pending grievances or for collective bargaining on any subject.
