STREET CLEANING a. During the development of the Property, Developer shall contract with a street cleaning firm to provide street cleaning services within and immediately adjacent to the Property or include such services in the contract between Developer and its general contractor. A copy of said contract shall be submitted to and approved by City prior to the issuance of a grading permit. This contract shall name City as an authorized agent to order street cleaning services as City deems necessary. The cost of the street cleaning under the contract shall be paid for by Developer.

STREET CLEANING. All streets in the vicinity of this development shall be kept free of any dirt and debris during all phases of construction.

STREET CLEANING. On a continuous basis during development, the Owner shall maintain all streets within the area in order that they are clear of mud, dust and other material, resulting from vehicles involved in development to the satisfaction of the General Manager, Planning and Growth Management Department. The Owner shall prevent the „flushing‟ of dirt and debris associated with development Work into any sewers. Upon any default by the Owner to so maintain the streets, the General Manager, Planning and Growth Management Department may, in his discretion, arrange for the required cleaning to be performed and the cost incurred by the City in so doing shall be recovered pursuant to Clause 15 „Default‟ of this Agreement.
STREET CLEANING. The Owner shall be responsible for cleaning the sidewalk and roadway along the streets in the vicinity of the “Lands” to remove all dirt, mud and debris which, in the opinion of the Municipality, has been deposited thereon as a result of the construction activities on the “Lands”. Such cleaning shall be done at the end of each day if required or otherwise as determined by the Municipality. If the Owner is unable or unwilling to clean the sidewalk or street to the reasonable satisfaction of the Municipality, the Owner hereby authorizes the Municipality to clean the sidewalk and street as required by the Municipality and the Owner agrees to pay the Municipality all costs associated with the cleaning operation performed by the Municipality.

STREET CLEANING. This section is revised to read: Self-propelled street sweepers shall be used to remove and collect sediment and other debris from the Roadway, whenever required by the Engineer. The street sweeper shall effectively collect these materials and prevent them from being washed or blown off the Roadway or into waters of the State. Street sweepers shall not generate fugitive dust and shall be designed and operated in compliance with applicable air quality standards. Material collected by the street sweeper shall be disposed of in accordance with Section 2-03.3(7)C. Street washing with water will require the concurrence of the Engineer. STREET CLEANING. The following is added at the end of this section: “Vacuum powered” street sweepers shall be used, whenever required by the Engineer, to prevent the transport of sediment and other debris off the project site. Self-propelled street sweepers may be approved for use if the risk of creating fugitive dust is low, as determined by the Engineer. All street sweepers shall be designed and operated to meet state air quality standards. Street washing with water will require approval by the Engineer. All costs associated with street sweeping shall be included in various unit contract price and no additional compensation will be made. Page 79 SPECIAL PROVISIONS 2023 COUNTYWIDE PAVEMENT PRESERVATION 8-01.3(9)A1 HIGH VISIBILITY FENCING The following is added at the end of this section: High visibility fencing shall be located a minimum of 6 feet from the existing trunks of trees or along the drip line of vegetation, whichever is the greater distance. Fences shall be left in place during all construction activities. During construction, no heavy equipment and stockpiling of materials (including chemicals and fuels) will be allowed beyond the intended boundary of the fence lines. The Contractor shall install the high visibility fence prior to performing clearing, grubbing, and excavation operations. The fence shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, and shall be maintained throughout the life of the Contract. The Contractor shall repair or replace all fencing damaged by construction activities and/or vandalism at no additional cost to the Contracting Agency. This work also includes the complete removal of all fencing and posts at the conclusion of construction activities as directed by the Engineer.
