Unbundled Copper Loop – Designed (UCL-D) 2.4.2.1 The UCL-D will be provisioned as a dry copper twisted pair (2- or 4-wire) Loop that is unencumbered by any intervening equipment (e.g., filters, load coils, range extenders, digital loop carrier, or repeaters).
Unbundled Copper Loop – Non-Designed (UCL-ND 2.4.3.1 The UCL–ND is provisioned as a dedicated 2-wire metallic transmission facility from BellSouth’s Main Distribution Frame (MDF) to a customer’s premises (including the NID). The UCL-ND will be a “dry copper” facility in that it will not have any intervening equipment such as load coils, repeaters, or digital access main lines (DAMLs), and may have up to 6,000 feet of bridged tap between the End User’s premises and the serving wire center. The UCL-ND typically will be 1300 Ohms resistance and in most cases will not exceed 18,000 feet in length, although the UCL-ND will not have a specific length limitation. For Loops less than 18,000 feet and with less than 1300 Ohms resistance, the Loop will provide a voice grade transmission channel suitable for Loop start signaling and the transport of analog voice grade signals. The UCL-ND will not be designed and will not be provisioned with either a DLR or a test point.

System Logging The system must maintain an automated audit trail which can 20 identify the user or system process which initiates a request for PHI COUNTY discloses to 21 CONTRACTOR or CONTRACTOR creates, receives, maintains, or transmits on behalf of COUNTY, 22 or which alters such PHI. The audit trail must be date and time stamped, must log both successful and 23 failed accesses, must be read only, and must be restricted to authorized users. Unbundled Sub-Loop Feeder 2.8.4.1 Unbundled Sub-Loop Feeder (USLF) provides connectivity between BellSouth's central office and cross-box (or other access point) that serves an end user location.
Unbundled Voice Loops (UVL) may be provisioned using any type of facility that will support voice grade services. This may include loaded copper, non-loaded copper, digital loop carrier systems, fiber/copper combination (hybrid loop) or a combination of any of these facilities. BellSouth, in the normal course of maintaining, repairing, and configuring its network, may also change the facilities that are used to provide any given voice grade circuit. This change may occur at any time. In these situations, BellSouth will only ensure that the newly provided facility will support voice grade services. BellSouth will not guarantee that Azul Tel will be able to continue to provide any advanced services over the new facility. BellSouth will offer UVL in two different service levels - Service Level One (SL1) and Service Level Two (SL2).
Sub-loop Elements 2.8.1 Where facilities permit, BellSouth shall offer access to its Unbundled Sub-Loop (USL) elements as specified herein.
