Strategic Goals and Objectives. The key strategic goals and objectives (from an ownership perspective) for Cayman Airways Limited for the 2005/6 financial year are as follows: • The Company has a mandate to restructure the business such as to set the airline on a path of sustainability. The initial focus will be on the underlying business model - the objective is to simplify the business and improve productivity. Services that do not contribute to the business will be eliminated. Services that are provided for non-business reasons (such as emergency evacuation services, insurance against fare increases by other carriers, infrastructure development for the Sister Islands, tourism development, and other related economic development issues) would be billed to the appropriate Government agency or department. The board has scheduled a strategic retreat for late August.
