Stop Payments on Checks. A stop payment order may be placed on a check using the Service. To place the order you must precisely identify the check number, date, the EXACT amount of the check (dollars and cents) and the payee. If any information is incomplete or incorrect, we will not be responsible for failing to stop payment on the item. Additionally, we must receive it in time to give us a reasonable opportunity to act on it before our stop payment cut-off time. To place a stop payment on a blank check or a range of checks that are missing or stolen, you must contact your banking office for personal assistance. Stop Payments on Checks. If you do not want to pay a Check, you can ask us to stop payment if the check has not been paid. Your stop payment order can be given by phone or mail. For more information call (000) 000-0000 or (000) 000-0000 or write to us at 0000 Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxxxxx, XX 00000. To process your request we need your Account number and date of the Check, the name of the payee and the amount of the Check. We do not have to honor any stop payment request unless we have a reasonable opportunity (usually 24 hours) to act before the Check is paid. Your written order will be effective for six months unless you revoke it in writing. If your stop payment order is given by phone, it is binding on us for only fourteen days unless we receive written confirmation of the order from you within that period. We will not be liable in any way for any stop payment request that we honor nor will we be liable in any way for our failure to honor any such request if we used ordinary care.
Stop Payments on Checks. The Online Service's ability to process a stop payment request will depend on the payment method and whether or not a check has cleared. The Online Service may also not have a reasonable opportunity to act on any stop payment request after a payment has been processed. If you desire to stop any payment that has already been processed, you must contact Member Services. Although we will make every effort to accommodate your request, we will have no liability for failing to do so. The Service may also require you to present your request in writing. The charge for each stop payment request will be the current charge for such service as set out in the applicable fee schedule. You agree to indemnify us for all damages and costs in which we may be subjected by reason of our refusal to honor the check. Avadian shall use every reasonable effort to stop payment. However, if the check is paid after due diligence on the part of Avadian, the credit union shall not be liable in any way and the check shall be charged to your Account. Further, Avadian shall not be liable if, by reason of failure of the credit union to stop payment, other checks drawn on your Account are returned due to insufficient funds for payment.
Stop Payments on Checks. If you request us to stop payment on a check you have written, you will give written or other confirmation as allowed by us within 14 days of making the request. If you fail to confirm an oral stop payment request within the 14 days, unless our policy provides otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel the request. Your stop payment request must describe the check or account with reasonable certainty and we must receive the request in a time and way that 10/2021 PB0262 gives us a reasonable opportunity to act on it. A stop payment on a check you have written will remain in effect until the earlier of 1) six months or other time period not less than six months as specified in the Stop Payment Order, or 2) until we receive written revocation of the stop payment. If the check on which a Stop Payment Order has been placed has not yet cleared or been returned to you by the payee, you may renew the Stop Payment Order for an additional six months by providing written or other confirmation as allowed by us within the time period the Stop Payment Order is in effect. You may be charged a fee every time you request a stop payment, even if it is a continuation of a previous stop payment request. You understand that we may accept the stop payment request from any of the joint owners of the account regardless of who signed the check or authorized the transfer. Our acceptance of a stop payment request does not constitute a representation by us that the item has not already been paid or that we have had a reasonable opportunity to act on the request. We may accept a stop payment request on lost or stolen checks, whether a single check or series, unless our policy requires we open a new account for you to ensure your security. Written communication includes communication by electronic record. Stop Payments on ACH Debits. A Stop Payment Order may be placed on either a one-time debit transfer or on a multiple debit entry transfer. If you request a Stop Payment Order on an Electronic Check Conversion or other one-time debit transfer, or on a multiple or future debit entry transfer, we must receive the request, orally or in a record or writing, in a period of time that provides us a reasonable opportunity to act on it prior to acting on the debit entry, otherwise the Stop Payment Order shall be of no effect. Stop Payments on Checks. You acknowledge that the “Stop Payment” feature is an alternate entry system for issuing Stop Payment orders on single paper checks between you and the Bank. When utilizing this feature, you warrant that the information describing the check, including the check date, its exact amount, the check number and payee, is correct. You acknowledge that the exact amount of the check is required, and if the incorrect amount or any other incorrect information is provided, the Bank will not be responsible for stopping payment on the check. You agree that the Stop Payment Request must be received by the Bank within a reasonable amount of time for the Bank to act on the order prior to final payment of the check. A Stop Payment Request received by the Bank using this service will be accepted as if it is in written form, will be effective for six (6) months only, and will expire automatically at that time, without further notice, unless specifically renewed prior to expiration. This service is not available to cancel payments scheduled through Bill Payment.

  • Stop Payment You may stop payment of items drawn on your accounts. You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, loss, damage, or expense that we may incur, including attorney’s fees, resulting from our refusing payment of any item on which you have stopped payment or from the payment of any item after your stop payment order has expired. A stop payment order will be effective for six months and may be renewed upon a request made in writing to us. A stop payment order, a renewal of an order, or a revocation of any such order shall not be effective unless delivered to us in writing to a member of our staff during our regular business hours and until we have had a reasonable opportunity to act on it. In addition, we will not be liable for the payment of an item over a stop payment order if the order is received after 10:00 am on the next banking day after the banking day on which we received the item. Due to computer system limitations, we can intercept an item subject to a stop payment order only if the precise amount, date, check number, name of payee, and any other information that we may reasonably require is provided. If that information is not provided, we will not be responsible if we are unable to stop payment if the order is made orally, we have no obligation to honor it. If we do honor an oral stop payment order, it will only be binding for 24 hours, after which it must be renewed in writing. Any stop payment order, renewal, or revocation will incur a charge as set forth in the Fee Schedule. You agree that we may honor a stop payment order, revocation, or renewal if made by the person who signed the check to be stopped or any other person who has signed the Application or is otherwise authorized to transact business relating to the account. You agree that we will not be liable for any inadvertent payment of any item, notwithstanding a stop payment order, if we have used ordinary care and followed our usual practices in handling such an order. If an item is paid over a valid stop payment order due to our failure to exercise ordinary care, we may be liable to you for any loss you suffer as a result of that inadvertent payment. You agree, however, that it will be your responsibility to establish any such loss. You agree that we will never be liable for more than your actual loss and that we will not be liable for any consequential damages. If we do credit your account after paying an item over a valid stop payment order, you agree to take whatever action we deem necessary to transfer to us all of your rights against the payee or holder of the item and to assist us if we take legal action against the payee or any other person. In the event that you instruct us to stop payment of certain pre-authorized debits, you acknowledge and agree that, at our option, we may stop payment of all pre-authorized debits from your account if we deem that action necessary to ensure that your stop payment order will be effective. You also acknowledge and agree that we will not be liable for our failure to stop payment for future pre-authorized debits, notwithstanding your stop payment order, if our failure is caused in whole or in part by the actions of the payee. For information concerning your right to stop payment of pre-authorized electronic funds transfers, please refer to our Electronic Funds Transfer Agreement and Disclosures. You may not stop payment of Cashier’s Checks or Credit Union Teller Checks issued by us at your request. You may not stop payment of transactions initiated through the use of a debit card or a similar device at an ATM or a Point of Sale terminal.

  • Checks All checks or demands for money and notes of the Corporation shall be signed by such officer or officers or such other person or persons as the Board of Directors may from time to time designate.

  • Credit Card Payments If You pay for the APEX Service using a credit card (to the extent available), then: (a) You authorize Dell to periodically charge Your credit card for the APEX Service fees; (b) You will be subject to any additional terms presented to You by the third-party credit card payment processor (which will be the merchant of record for that transaction); and (c) You are responsible for keeping Your credit card information up to date. You agree that Dell may request that Your credit card payment issuer pre-authorize and hold an amount equal to the next recurring fee (or an estimate if the fee is variable) for the APEX Service in advance of its due date.

  • Credit Checks 9.1 The Customer agrees that:

  • Stop Payment Orders If you do not want us to pay a check you have issued, you can request us to stop payment of that check. Any Authorized Representative may order us to stop payment on a check and we will charge a fee. See the fee schedule applicable to your Account for details. Your stop payment order must include your Account number, the number and date of your check, the amount, and the name of the payee. We are not responsible for stop payment orders with incorrect or incomplete information. If you make your stop payment order orally and do not confirm it in writing within fourteen (14) calendar days, we may not continue to honor it. Our acceptance of a stop payment order will not constitute a representation that the Item has not already been paid or that the Bank has had a reasonable opportunity to act upon the order. Your stop payment order will take effect only after we receive all required documents from you, we verify that the check is unpaid, we record it on your Account, and we have had sufficient time to notify the impacted areas of the Bank (which may take several days), and we will not be liable if we pay the check or for any related Losses you incur before the stop payment order has taken effect. We cannot stop payment on a check we have already cashed or a deposited check where the funds have already been withdrawn. You may not stop payment on money orders issued by the Bank or on official, certified, cashier’s, or teller’s checks issued by the Bank. In addition, you may not stop payment on checks governed by separate agreement, such as a check guaranty agreement. Your stop payment order will be effective for six (6) months, and can be renewed for six (6) more months for an additional fee. We have no obligation to notify you when your stop payment order expires. If you want to release a stop payment order, you must tell us in writing. If the check is presented for payment after a stop payment order expires, we may pay the check. In some cases, we may pay a check even if a stop payment order is in effect. For example, if we or another person or entity becomes a “holder in due course” of a check that you ask us to stop, we may still pay the check. When you place a stop payment order, you agree to indemnify us for all Losses we incur due to our refusal to pay the Item. You assign to us all rights against the payee or any other holder of the check. You agree to cooperate with us in any legal actions that we may take against these parties. Applicable Law may permit other limitations on our obligation to stop payments. Refer to Section 8 of this Agreement, “Electronic Funds Transfers,” for how to place a stop payment on electronic payments.

  • Payments on Business Days Except as provided pursuant to Section 2.01 pursuant to a Board Resolution, and set forth in an Officer’s Certificate, or established in one or more indentures supplemental to this Indenture, in any case where the date of maturity of interest or principal of any Security or the date of redemption of any Security shall not be a Business Day, then payment of interest or principal (and premium, if any) may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the nominal date of maturity or redemption, and no interest shall accrue for the period after such nominal date.

  • Pay Cheques R-1 Payment of wages will be made by depositing the net amount payable to the Employee to the credit of the Employee's designated account at any Kent County chartered bank that utilizes a computer banking transfer system. All Employees and all future Employees, as a condition of employment, shall sign an authorization to permit the payment of wages as referenced above. An Employee who is underpaid a minimum of seventy-five ($75.00) as a result of a payroll error, upon request, will have a separate cheque issued to her/him as soon as possible but no later than two (2) working days (payroll working days) following the request.
