Common use of Step 2 Clause in Contracts

Step 2. If the grievance is not settled under Step 1, a Union representative may, within five (5) workdays of the decision under Step 1 or within five (5) workdays of the day this decision should have been made, submit a written grievance to the Employer. The parties shall meet to discuss the grievance within one (1) week after the grievance has been filed. The Employer shall notify the grievor and the Union representative of his decision in writing within three (3) workdays following the said meeting.

Step 2. If the grievance is not settled under resolved at Step 1, a Union representative Representative may, within five seven (57) workdays days of the decision under Step 1 or within five seven (57) workdays days of the day this decision should have been made, submit a written Step 2 grievance to the Employer. The parties shall attempt to meet to discuss resolve the grievance within one (1) week after the Step 2 grievance has been filed. The Employer shall notify forward a written response to the grievor and the Union representative Representative within seven (7) days of his decision in writing within three (3) workdays following the said meetingday on which the Step 2 grievance is submitted.

If the grievance is not settled under Step 1, a Union representative maythen, within five (5) workdays working days of receiving the reply at Step 1, the grievance may be submitted to the Manager or his/her designate. At this step, the full-time representative of the decision under Union shall be present at a Step 1 2 grievance meeting along with the employee and the xxxxxxx. The Manager or his/her designate shall reply to the grievance within five (5) workdays working days of the day this decision should have been mademeeting being held, submit a written and forward such reply along with the grievance form to the Employer. The parties shall meet to discuss the grievance within one (1) week after the grievance has been filed. The Employer shall notify the grievor xxxxxxx and the Union representative of his decision in writing within three (3) workdays following the said meetingoffice.

The Employer shall notify forward a written response to the grievor griever and the Union representative Representative within seven (7) calendar days of his decision in writing within three (3) workdays following the said meetingday on which the Step 2 grievance is submitted.
