STATUTORY AND GENERAL HOLIDAYS. 6.1 The following are recognized Statutory and General Holidays. A letter will be sent annually by CLR and UA Local 170 with proper dates. New Year's Day Family Day (Effective February 2013) Third Monday in February (Heritage Day) Good Friday Easter Monday Victoria Day Canada Day Friday preceding British Columbia Day British Columbia Day Friday preceding Labour Day Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Remembrance Day Christmas Day Boxing Day or any day that may be declared a holiday in the future by the Government of Canada or by the Government of the Province of British Columbia (See Section 3 - Overtime). The third Monday in February (Heritage Day) and the Friday preceding Labour Day may be worked at straight time rates, with an alternate day scheduled off in lieu, as mutually agreed between the Employer and the employee.
STATUTORY AND GENERAL HOLIDAYS. 13.01 STATUTORY HOLIDAYS Regular employees shall be paid four point eight percent (4.8%) of straight time hours paid on each payday in lieu of statutory holiday entitlements for eleven (11) statutory holidays and one (1) floating holiday per year.

  • STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS If statutory holidays, to which an employee is entitled with pay, occur within his or her vacation period, the employee shall be granted an additional day's vacation for each in lieu thereof.

  • 000 STATUTORY HOLIDAYS 18.100 The following days will constitute the recognized holidays within the terms of this agreement. Any other holiday proclaimed by either the Provincial or Federal Government will be automatically recognized within this Agreement.

  • Statutory Holiday All time worked on such Statutory Holidays as are provided for in this Agreement shall be considered as overtime and shall be paid at two hundred percent (200%) of the employee's regular straight-time rate, or the employee may elect to be paid straight-time rates for the overtime hours and take an equal number of hours as time off. Such time off must be taken according to a schedule acceptable to the employee's Supervisor within thirty (30) days of the end of the pay period in which the overtime was worked.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Federal Holidays The Employee shall be entitled to federal holidays per calendar year. This is subject to change by the Employer from time to time. If for any reason the Employee should request a Federal Holiday off, the Employer shall determine if the Employee may do so and if it shall be taken from either the Employee’s Personal Leave or Vacation Time. Federal Holidays are determined by the Employer and may change every calendar year.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Annual Leave Exclusive of Public Holidays The period of annual leave prescribed by this clause is exclusive of any public holidays, and if any such holiday falls within an employee’s period of annual leave and is observed on a day which in the case of that employee would have been an ordinary working day, there will be added to the period of annual leave time equivalent to the ordinary time which the employee would have worked if such day had not been a holiday.
