STATUTORY AND CIVIC HOLIDAYS a) Pay, at straight time, shall be calculated on the number of hours normally worked, as a normal shift if it had not been a public holiday ie: 7.33, 8 and 10 hrs. Public holidays shall be: New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Saskatchewan Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Remembrance Day. Part time Access Transit employees shall receive a prorata of regular hours worked as per The Labour Standards Act.

If a part-time nurse works on a holiday referred to in of this Agreement, she shall be paid at time and one-half her regular straight hourly rate for all hours worked on such holiday. During the course of negotiations to settle the terms of a new collective agreement covering the period from October to September the Hospital and the Association agreed upon a revision of the wording of paragraph 6 of Schedule "A", which deals with educational increments. The Hospital now agrees that, notwithstanding the terms of paragraph 6 of Schedule "A" in such agreement, the above nurses will receive the increment on the basis set out in the Arbitration Award and will continue to receive it as long as they are employed by the Hospital. and are members of the Ontario Nurses' Association bargaining unit.
