Station Assignments. The City will determine the staffing levels for each station and the methods to assign available personnel to each station. Station Assignments. A. Firefighters are assigned by the Fire Chief to specific Fire Stations with consideration to skill sets (this includes EMT-P certification, Fire/EMS Instructor certification, specialized teams or skills, EMS/Maintenance Coordinator assignments, and other pertinent operational skills and training). A ratio of at least 2:1 EMT-P to non-EMT-P should be maintained at each station. This ratio does not supersede Article 25, Section 1. The Chief will also take into consideration the desires of individual Firefighters who want to be at a specific station.
Station Assignments a) A "Bid System" shall be utilized to assist with personnel assignments to platoon, station and apparatus. The "Bid System" shall not supersede Article 1, MANAGEMENT RIGHTS of this Agreement, nor shall it infringe upon any management rights contained therein.

Station Assignments. On an annual basis employees use a Seniority Shift Bid process to select station and shift assignments. This provision shall not impair the right of the Fire Department to transfer an employee for reasonable cause, nor shall the provisions require any change in the holiday/vacation schedule, unless mutually agreed otherwise by the parties. Employees may also switch shifts or stations by mutual agreement if authorized by the Fire Chief. Should a vacancy occur on a shift or station, the position shall be filled on the basis of seniority and the needs of the Fire Department. In such cases, the Fire Chief shall make the determination how best to fill the vacancy.
Station Assignments. Station assignments shall be based on seniority, and assigned for a twelve (12) month period, beginning with the calendar year. The Director of Public Safety reserves the right to change the assignment of employees during the course of the year for official remediation purposes. Vacancies that occur during the course of the year are not subject to station bids.
