VCU Xxxx Xxxxx program’s overall objective is to obtain a Contractor, or multiple Contractors, to provide transportation management to our program’s patients in and around the Central Health District in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This Contractor should be capable of transporting patients 24 hours a day, ensuring the safety of our patients with proper driver and vehicle licensure and insurance, delivering appropriate confirmations and invoicing, and appropriately price services to keep in VCU Xxxx Xxxxx’x $150,000 annual budget.
STATEMENT OF NEEDS. The goal of this effort is to accommodate the expans ion of ITIP into all eligible areas that choose to participate. Lessons from the initial deployments as well as additional elements of national interest are incorporated in this statement of work. This includes an increased emphasis on integrating existing data, and added requirements for calculat ing reliability performance measures using the data to be collected, and the provision of m onthly data and calculated performance measure reports to the U.S. DOT. This data and reports may be provided over the Internet. The U.S. DOT’s focus in these expansion metropolitan areas is to enhance existing surveillance infrastructure through integration, along with strategic deployment of supplemental surveillance infrastructure. In some areas, the infrastructure deployed as part of this program may be the area’s primary traveler information system. The enhanced surveillance infrastructure and performance data generated will be used to: 1) aid the public se ctor partner in carryi ng out system management activities including operations, planning, analysis, a nd maintenance; 2) support the provision of free basic traveler information to the public for personal use; 3) provide opportunities for commercialization of other Advanced Traveler Inform ation Services (ATIS); and 4) support provision of data and system performance measure re ports to the U.S. DOT on a monthly basis.
STATEMENT OF NEEDS. 1. Describe the more persistent needs of participants that your county continues to address with MFIP funds. Discuss any unique needs of the MFIP and DWP participants, including participants in the Family Stabilization Services (FSS) track. • Transportation (reliable/flexible/affordable) continues to be a critical need. This need is exacerbated by our “rural geography,” lack of regular public transportation services in our smaller towns, and inflation in fuel costs. • Functional English proficiency is needed for almost all employment. There is literally only one employer in town (with some subsidiaries) that can hire individuals who have no, or only rudimentary, English skills. • Criminal history is a barrier to employment
STATEMENT OF NEEDS. 1. For each of the program areas listed below, what needs and priorities will be addressed during the 2010-11 biennium? Children’s mental health: As always, our priority in Children’s Mental Health Case Management is providing the least restrictive service to the child and his/her family, respecting the culture of the family as well as the individual needs of the identified child. We have made great progress in working collaboratively to develop our system of care, which includes an array of outpatient services, as well as school-based mental health options ranging up to intensive placements funded through the current CADI and PCA system. Of course, with the current budgetary challenges our state faces, we are preparing for changes in programs by doing as much due diligence as possible in preparation for new eligibility requirements which will come into effect in 2010 and 2011. We are also looking at using newly developed tools/practices such as “Signs of Safety” and motivational interviewing skills to help families identify what needs they have and how best to meet them. We are working at transitioning away from people meeting program requirements, to asking what people need and building a plan to meet their needs. What we need in terms of social services, across the board, is an adequately funded health care system that doesn’t put families in the position of choosing between the treatment of their child’s anorexia or making a house payment. This is the sad reality we attempt to navigate day in and day out. We continue to try and be creative with resources and work within the current system, but also aim to educate the public and influence policy and practice that more sensibly serves the mental health needs of children.
STATEMENT OF NEEDS. The proposal shall include software, technical labor, data conversion, training, hardware (as needed), and ongoing support and maintenance that meet the City’s business needs as described in this RFP. The City will consider all cloud-based deployment options, which include Software as a Service (SaaS). The City intends to integrate the requested system, including all modules, with other current core systems as well as any future systems. Specifically, the ELM system will be utilized by Neighborhood Development Services (NDS) for managing the lifecycle of a building, including permits, inspections, new construction, occupancy, renovations, and demolition. The City expects NDS to achieve substantial gains in productivity, efficiency, accuracy, mobility and capacity to make data-driven decisions through the implementation of the ELM software system. In addition, through the implementation of the public access portal, NDS expects to increase the level of service delivery with the local development community. The ELM software system must integrate with key enterprise technologies, including the City’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (SAP), Geographic Information System (ESRI), among others. Multiple data collection points, both fixed and mobile, are envisioned to promote City employee/user ease, and encourage City engagement, both within the development community and citizens.
