Common use of State and Federal Laws Clause in Contracts

State and Federal Laws. This Agreement shall be subject to all future and present applicable federal and state laws, executive orders of the President of the United States or the Governor of the State of Oregon, and rules and regulations of governing authority. Should any provision or provisions become unlawful by virtue of the above or by declaration of any court of competent jurisdiction, such action shall not invalidate this Agreement. Any provision of this Agreement not declared invalid shall remain in full force and effect for the term of the Agreement. I any provision is held invalid, the Employer and the Union shall enter into immediate negotiations for the purpose, and solely for the purpose, of arriving at mutually satisfactory replacement for such provision.
