Common use of Starting Time Clause in Contracts

Starting Time. Starting times for drivers doing combination pickup and feeder work shall remain on a status quo basis. Any scheduled shift other than the duty shifts, but including Cen- tral Drivers’ and Central Helpers’ shifts, shall be posted on the prior Friday of the week for which the shifts are to be effective. Employ- ees who are ordered to report for work prior to said scheduled start- ing time shall receive time and one half (1 1/2) for all hours worked prior to their regular starting time. Employees who are ordered to report later than their scheduled starting time shall receive time and one half (1 1/2) for the number of hours worked equal to the num- ber of hours called in to work after their scheduled starting time. Addendum 1 The Employer agrees that Central Drivers’ and Central Helpers’ shifts shall be posted on the prior Thursday for which the shifts are to be effective.
