Standby Mode. The condition that exists when the product is not producing hard copy output or receiving hard copy input and is consuming less power than when producing such output or receiving such input. The transition from Standby Mode to Active Mode should cause no noticeable delay in the production of hard copy output.
Standby Mode. The condition that exists when the machine is not making copies, has reached operating conditions and is ready to make a copy, but has not yet entered into energy-saver mode. When the copier is in this mode, there will be virtually no delay before the copier is capable of making the next copy.
Standby Mode. The condition that exists when the machine is not producing output, has reached operating conditions and is ready to make hard copy output, but has not yet entered into the low-power mode. When the multifunction device is in this mode, there will be virtually no delay before the multifunction device is capable of making the next hard copy output.
Standby Mode. The product is connected to a power source, produces neither sound nor picture, does not transmit nor receive program information and/or data (excluding data transmitted to change the unit’s condition from “standby mode” to “active mode”), and is waiting to be switched to “on” (active/play mode) by a direct or indirect signal from the consumer, e.g., with the remote control.
Standby Mode. Standby Mode. The mode in which the product is connected to the power source, is possibly producing status information or time readout, is waiting to be switched to the active mode, and produces/records no video or audio signal (either directly audible, or audible as reproduced by headphones, loudspeakers, or other transducers). The product may exit the standby mode through an automatic timer activation, direct activation by the user, or a remote control command from the user. In standby mode, the product is substantially shut down but may continue to perform some functions (e.g., remote control sensing and clock).
Standby Mode. The PCU shall continuously monitor the input DC voltage and remain on Standby Mode until it reaches the pre-set value.
