Standby Hours. When the total average standby per group of nurses who have an expectation to share in the unit’s overall standby hits 96 hours over a 30-day period, the Labor Management Committee will convene a meeting to evaluate and recommend a course of action with the goal to lower the standby hours expectation per nurse.

  • Standby Duty (a) An employee shall be on standby duty when required to be available for work outside his/her normal working hours, and subject to restrictions consistent with the FLSA which would prevent the employee from using the time while on standby duty effectively for the employee’s own purposes.

  • Extra Hours For the purpose of Clause 20.13, extra hours means any hours available to be worked in excess of an employee’s regular schedule. The Corporation shall determine the extra hours it requires in each circumstance, and offer such hours to employees working in that Post Office in accordance with the provisions of this Clause.
