Standby Assignments. (a) i) The Hospital will notify the Bargaining Unit President or designate prior to initiating ongoing standby assignments on any unit.
Standby Assignments. Standby assignments are defined as those instances when unit members have been designated to be available to return to their work location on short notice to perform assigned duties during an off-duty period. In the event the employee is required to report to work, the employee shall be provided compensatory time pursuant to Section 5. Employees assigned to the Office of Information Technology who are required to work at home while on standby status, shall be provided compensatory time pursuant to Section 5.

A standby shift of four (4) hours or less shall be compensated at one (1) hour straight time pay. Standby pay may only be earned once in each standby shift.
Standby Assignments. Standby assignments require the employee to be in telecommunication, phone or pager range, and ready and available to report to the station optimally within one (1) hour of notification, with the understanding that at times there may be a reasonable delay due to circumstances beyond the employee’s immediate control. Typical standby assignments will be for a minimum of twelve (12) hours. Any assignments scheduled for less than twelve (12) hours will be paid a minimum of twelve (12) hours at the standby rate prescribed in the Tacoma Joint Labor Agreement, or three dollars ($3.00) per hour, whichever is greater. Employee scheduled for thirteen (13) or more consecutive hours of standby will be compensated at the stand-by rate prescribed in the applicable Tacoma Joint Labor Agreement, or three dollars ($3.00) per hour, whichever is greater for all standby hours worked. Xxxxxxx pay will cease when an employee is called out. When an employee is called out, a minimum of four (4) hours at the appropriate overtime rate will be paid from the time the employee is notified to report for the assignment until the assignment ends. All hours worked in excess of four (4) hours will be paid at the appropriate overtime rate. Xxxxxxx pay will resume once the overtime assignment ends. The employee will not receive standby pay during the period of time they are receiving overtime. When a City owned vehicle is not provided to an employee who is called into work during off duty time, the employee will be compensated an additional one (1) hour at the time and one half (1-1/2) rate.
Standby Assignments. A. An employee who is required to remain on standby shall receive an additional twenty- nine dollars ($29) per day as standby allowance. A day is similar to a shift day in that it begins at 8:00 a.m. and runs to 7:59 a.m. the following morning. Because the “shift day” begins on one day and ends on the following day, it is understood the standby day shall be the day when the shift began. Employees who are called out while on standby shall receive two (2) hours minimum at time and one-half. Any employee who is called out on New Year’s Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, or 4th of July, and works a minimum of eight (8) hours shall receive time-and-a half plus get (8) hours holiday to put in a bank to cash out; or may take the holiday on a different day within the same pay period.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Extra Duty Assignments The Joint Study Committee hereby recommends the following as guidelines for extra duty assignments:

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Relief Assignments 3.1 All possible regular relief assignments with five days work per week and two consecutive rest days (subject to Rule 2) shall be established to perform necessary relief work or to perform relief work on certain days and such types of other work on other days as may be assigned under this Agreement.

  • Non-Assignment This Agreement shall not be assigned by either party without the written consent of the other party.

  • A ssignment Contractor shall not assign any interest in this Agreement and shall not transfer any interest in the same without the prior written consent of County except that claims for money due or to become due Contractor from County under this Agreement may be assigned by Contractor to a bank, trust company, or other financial institution without such approval. Written notice of any such transfer shall be furnished promptly to County. Any attempt at assignment of rights under this Agreement except for those specifically consented to by both parties or as stated above shall be void.

  • LIGHT DUTY ASSIGNMENTS 1. In the event a clerk requests a light duty assignment, in writing, management must contact the President, Lehigh Valley Area Local to discuss such request.

  • PARTIES BOUND; ASSIGNMENT This Guaranty shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties hereto and their respective successors, assigns and legal representatives; provided, however, that Guarantor may not, without the prior written consent of Lender, assign any of its rights, powers, duties or obligations hereunder.

  • Transfer/Assignment (A) Subject to compliance with clause (B) of this Section 8, this Warrant and all rights hereunder are transferable, in whole or in part, upon the books of the Company by the registered holder hereof in person or by duly authorized attorney, and a new warrant shall be made and delivered by the Company, of the same tenor and date as this Warrant but registered in the name of one or more transferees, upon surrender of this Warrant, duly endorsed, to the office or agency of the Company described in Section 3.   • CESSION AND ASSIGNMENT The Service Provider shall not cede, assign, abandon or transfer any of its rights and/or obligations in terms of this Agreement (whether in part or in whole) or delegate any of its obligations in terms of this Agreement, without the prior written consent of the Fund.
