Common use of Standards and Specifications Clause in Contracts

Standards and Specifications. The Consultants shall adopt such technical and design standards and specifications as are in current use by Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and Transport Department or, if non-existent, International or National Standards Codes of Practice and Specifications. Should instances arise for which suitable standards or specifications do not exist or for which the current standards or specifications appear to require modifications or if by the adoption of current standards the Consultants would incur additional expenses not within reasonable contemplation, the Consultants shall submit recommendations on appropriate alternatives to the Director's Representative for agreement.
