Staffing Levels to deal with Potential Violence. The Employer agrees that, where there is a risk of violence, an adequate level of trained employees should be present. The Employer recognizes that workloads can lead to fatigue and a diminished ability both to identify and to subsequently deal with potentially violent situations. N-6 Training The Employer agrees to provide training and information on the prevention of violence to all employees who come into contact with potentially aggressive persons. This training will be done during a new employee’s orientation and updated on an annual basis for all employees. N-7 Support and Counselling The Employer and the Association recognize that, where preventative measures have failed to prevent violent incidents, counselling and support must be available to help victims recover from such incidents.
