Specific project purposes. Specific project purposes. To facilitate the movement of goods and people by improvement the transport infrastructure and accessibility to the border crossings, namely by constructing of road Xxxxx Tarnovo – Border Crossing checkpoint with Turkey, including bypass of Xxxxx Tarnovo. • To facilitate the cross-border co-operation of regional actors and agencies in the areas of economic development, cultural exchange, tourism, environment trough the continuation of a Joint Small Project Fund.
Specific project purposes. To improve economic development and environmental protection and management in the border region (project BG 2006/018-386.01.01 ); • To encourage and support regular interaction between the communities on either side of the border and thus further development of the economic and social cohesion of border regions, in particular through the improvement of the administrative capacity of local/regional actors, promoted through People to People Actions (local economic development, training and employment measures, improvement of the flow of information and communication, cultural exchanges, etc.) with a cross-border impact (projects BG 2006/018-386.01.02) Moreover, in order to prepare a pipeline of mature projects and to improve programming and project management skills in the field of cross-border co-operation programmes, project preparation may form part of the Programme Support activities by Technical Assistance (projects BG 2006/018-386.01.03).
