SPECIALTY ASSIGNMENT PAY. 13.1 The City and Association recognize that special assignments out of the scope of the covered classifications of Police Officer, Senior Police Officer, Corporal, Police Helicopter Pilot, Police Sergeant, and Helicopter Sergeant will at times be required for the efficient operation of the department, and therefore these special assignments and their associated specialty assignment compensation are listed below. According to California Code of Regulations Sections 571(a) and (b) the premium and special pays herein will be reported to CalPERS as special compensation.

SPECIALTY ASSIGNMENT PAY. A. Except for Field Training Officers (FTO), Patrol officers assigned to any specialty position will, in addition to their base pay, receive one thousand dollars ($1,000) annually.
SPECIALTY ASSIGNMENT PAY. A. In addition to the base rate of pay, determined under this MOU, employees engaged in specialty assignments shall receive Specialty Pay as herein defined. To be eligible for Special Assignment Pay, an employee must be assigned by the Fire Chief to perform the function. The Specialty Pay is to be included in all computation of overtime or other benefits.

The parties agree, to the extent permitted by law, the compensation in this section is special compensation and shall be reported as such pursuant to Title 2 California Code of Regulations, Section 571. 13.2 UNIFORM ASSIGNMENT PAY - Employees in the classifications of Police Lieutenant who are regularly assigned to uniform automobile/motorcycle patrol, or traffic enforcement shall receive uniform assignment pay (2.5% of base salary). Employees assigned to patrol or traffic enforcement for less than 14 consecutive days shall not be eligible for Uniform Assignment Pay.

SPECIALTY ASSIGNMENT PAY. Specialized assignments of Police Officers shall be governed by the Menlo Park Police Department Policy Manual Section 1029. Officers regularly occupying a special assignment, as approved by the Chief of Police, shall receive five percent (5%) Specialty Pay, calculated upon base pay, for each biweekly period of said assignment.
SPECIALTY ASSIGNMENT PAY. The Department shall compensate Tactical Response Team Officers, Airplane Commanders, Deputy Airplane Commanders, Technical Services Investigators, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers and Crime Scene Investigators at a minimum of Salary Level 3 at the officer’s applicable years of service, or salary commensurate with rank, whichever is higher. TRT officers shall receive Salary Level 3 beginning the effective date of the agreement until these officers vacate their present assignment. All other officers assigned to these positions prior to the effective date of the agreement, shall be compensated at their current salary level, until these officers vacate their present assignments.

  • Assignment Pay Assignment pay is a premium added to the base salary and is intended to be used only as long as the skills, duties or circumstances it is based on are in effect. The Employer may grant assignment pay to a position to recognize specialized skills, assigned duties, and/or unique circumstances that exceed the ordinary. The Employer determines which positions qualify for the premium. The Employer will give the Union notice in accordance with Article 34, Mandatory Subjects.

  • LIGHT DUTY ASSIGNMENTS 1. In the event a clerk requests a light duty assignment, in writing, management must contact the President, Lehigh Valley Area Local to discuss such request.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Extra Duty Assignments The Joint Study Committee hereby recommends the following as guidelines for extra duty assignments:

In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • ASSIGNMENT/SUB-CONTRACTING The Contractor agrees that he will not sell, assign or transfer this Agreement or any part thereof or interest therein without the prior written consent of the Owner.

  • Assignment to Owners Interconnection Customer may assign the Interconnection Service Agreement without the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s or Transmission Provider’s prior consent to any Affiliate or person that purchases or otherwise acquires, directly or indirectly, all or substantially all of the Customer Facility and the Customer Interconnection Facilities, provided that prior to the effective date of any such assignment, the assignee shall demonstrate that, as of the effective date of the assignment, the assignee has the technical and operational competence to comply with the requirements of this Interconnection Service Agreement and assumes in a writing provided to the Interconnected Transmission Owner and Transmission Provider all rights, duties, and obligations of Interconnection Customer arising under this Interconnection Service Agreement. However, any assignment described herein shall not relieve or discharge the Interconnection Customer from any of its obligations hereunder absent the written consent of the Transmission Provider, such consent not to be unreasonably withheld, conditioned or delayed.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.
