SPECIALIZED WORK. A. The Employer will not require any employee to perform any work that the employee reasonably considers to present a clear and present danger to his or her health or safety.

SPECIALIZED WORK. It is understood that situations may arise wherein it will be necessary to employ temporarily especially skilled labor such as bricklayers for relining kilns, for example, and it is agreed that when so performed, such work and employees performing it are exempt from this Agreement, and it is further agreed that if practicable and not prohibited by law, members of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organization, or Canadian Labor Congress shall be given preference in such noncovered work.
SPECIALIZED WORK. When the Engineer directs the Contractor to perform specialized work requiring skills, tools and equipment substantially unlike those ordinarily used by the Contractor or its authorized Project subcontractors, the Department will pay the Contractor for the use of a specialist to perform the specialized work. For such specialized services, including materials incorporated into the Project, the Department will pay the Contractor its actual costs, plus additional compensation in accordance with subparagraph (e) below. Prior to performing such specialized work, the Contractor shall obtain and submit to the Engineer a minimum of three price quotes for the work, if requested by the Engineer.
SPECIALIZED WORK. The TOWN may, in the discretion of its supervising mechanic, cause specialized work to be performed in commercial shops specializing in that work. Specialized work may include, but shall not be limited to body repair, engine rebuilding, radiator repair, alternator rebuilding, and machining of special parts. The TOWN shall obtain a copy of the work order performed on any vehicle in a commercial shop.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.

  • Creative Work The Executive agrees that all creative work and work product, including but not limited to all technology, business management tools, processes, software, patents, trademarks, and copyrights developed by the Executive during the term of this Agreement, regardless of when or where such work or work product was produced, constitutes work made for hire, all rights of which are owned by the Employer. The Executive hereby assigns to the Employer all rights, title, and interest, whether by way of copyrights, trade secret, trademark, patent, or otherwise, in all such work or work product, regardless of whether the same is subject to protection by patent, trademark, or copyright laws.

  • Development Work The Support Standards do not include development work either (i) on software not licensed from CentralSquare or (ii) development work for enhancements or features that are outside the documented functionality of the Solutions, except such work as may be specifically purchased and outlined in Exhibit 1. CentralSquare retains all Intellectual Property Rights in development work performed and Customer may request consulting and development work from CentralSquare as a separate billable service.

  • Engineering Services Definition: Engineering Services includes any service or creative work, the adequate performance of which requires education, training and experience in the application of special knowledge in consulting, investigating, evaluating, planning and designing, engineering principles. Engineering Services covered by the Xxxxxx Architect-Engineers Act (40 U.S.C. 1102) are not covered in the primary scope of OASIS SB. Examples: Service areas that are included under the Engineering Services discipline include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Engineering Forest Service completed survey and design for Specified Roads prior to timber sale advertisement, unless otherwise shown in A8 or Purchaser survey and design are specified in A7. On those roads for which Forest Service completes the design during the contract, the design quantities shall be used as the basis for revising estimated costs stated in the Schedule of Items and adjusting Timber Sale Account. Forest Service engineering shall be completed according to the schedule in A8. Should Forest Service be unable to perform the designated survey and design by the completion date or other agreed to time, upon written agreement, Purchaser shall assume responsibility for such work.
