Special Trips a. Drivers refusing or unable to make their trip shall be bypassed until the next regular rotation. (Drivers shall not remove their name from the list without the supervisor’s approval.) The trip shall then be awarded by seniority to a driver who unsuccessfully bid on the trip. Such awards will not affect subsequent trip "rotation".
Special Trips. 1. Bus drivers shall be paid their regular rate for actual travel time and waiting time pursuant to Section 3(f).
Special Trips. 1681 22.8.1 Drivers who receive notification of a cancellation less than six 1682 (6) working hours prior to their scheduled departure time shall 1683 receive two (2) hours of pay at the appropriate rate. The special 1684 trip shall include but not be limited to the following: 1685 Check-out and warm-up time 1686 Driving time to and from departure point and a scheduled trip 1687 Time necessary for administrative duties and clean—up of 1688 equipment.
Special Trips. A. Special trips will be considered as any trip less than three (3) hours long. Such trips will include, but not be limited to, bowling, play rehearsals, short class trips, etc.
Special Trips a. Regular drivers shall be given preference for special trips on a rotating basis. Drivers may decline special trips. When regular drivers are unavailable, substitute drivers will be utilized. Trips will be offered on Friday for the following week.

Special Trips. Special trips for overnight stays shall be paid at the rate on the salary schedule in Section 1 of Article 11 above, and compensation shall be based upon 12 hours minimum guaranteed first night and actual hours worked for subsequent days (defined as driving or supervising the bus).

Certain special trips must be driven inside the school district where students and teachers are driven to destinations where instruction takes place on a regular (daily or weekly) basis. For the drivers of such trips, there is no layover. These trips shall be bid as regular routes and as posted.
Special Trips. There are three types of Special Trips: (1) Field Trips, (2) Athletic Trips, and (3) Weekend/Holiday Trips.

However, being available shall not interfere with Title 13 CCR 1212.5.2 (b) “16 consecutive hours have elapsed since first reporting for duty”, and Title 13 CCR 12.5.5.1(A) “More than 10 hours following 8 hours off”, and Title 13 CCR 1212.5.4 “80 hours in any consecutive 8 days”.
