Special Education Director. Duties and Authority The Special Education Director is the Joint Agreement's executive officer and is responsible for the administration and management of the Joint Agreement programs in accordance with Governing Board policies and directives, and State and federal law. District management duties include, without limitation, preparing, submitting, publishing, and posting reports and notifications as required by State and federal law. The Special Education Director is authorized to develop administrative procedures to implement Governing Board policy. The Special Education Director may delegate to other Joint Agreement staff members the exercise of any powers and the discharge of any duties imposed upon the Special Education Director by Governing Board policies or by Board vote. The delegation of power or duty, however, shall not relieve the Special Education Director of responsibility for the action that was delegated. Qualifications and Appointment The Special Education Director must be of good character and of unquestionable morals and integrity. The Special Education Director shall have the experience and the skills necessary to work effectively with the Governing Board, Executive Committee, Joint Agreement employees, students, and the community. The Special Education Director shall have proper licensure/State approval. When the office of the Special Education Director becomes vacant, the Executive Committee will conduct a search to find the most capable person for the position and make a recommendation to the Governing Board for ratification. Qualified staff members who apply for the position will be considered for the vacancy.

Osprey Wilds will initiate contact with the School’s special education director only to fulfill its oversight responsibilities as determined by Osprey Wilds. Osprey Wilds will not discuss or attempt to discuss any data that is subject to the privacy and confidentiality provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations, including, but not limited to FERPA and the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA), Minnesota Statutes sections 13.01 et seq.

Special Education Director. At the District’s discretion, the Special Education r Director may be given additional days to be used for scheduling, testing, and documentation or duties directly related to the position. These days may also be used in hourly increments at the employee’s per diem rate. These days are not intended to be used for conferences, symposiums, or trainings. A plan for the additional days (or hours) must be presented, in advance, and is subject to administrative approval. The additional hours must be documented and submitted to the Business Manager for reimbursement.

  • Special Education Teachers Whenever any Elementary Special Education class to which a student(s) is(are) added as a result of the distribution of students from the class of an absent Elementary Special Education teacher, Article 8-7 shall be in effect. In addition, whenever the class size of the receiving Special Education teacher exceeds the class size maxim mandated by Special Education class size law and/or regulation, the Xxxxxxxx Formula in AAA Case No. 1139-0696- 85, February 21, 1986, shall be used to calculate the compensation which said teacher shall receive as follows: The rate of pay for said teacher for teaching said additional students shall be computed by multiplying the teacher’s daily gross compensation by a fraction in which the denominator is twenty-six (26) and the numerator is the number of children taught in excess of Article 8-1.1 Item 3 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the parties.

  • Special Education Committee The parties agree to establish a committee comprised of representatives from ETFO, the Ministry of Education and school board leadership in the area of special education. Additional representatives may be invited as resources to the committee as needed. The committee will discuss current issues as identified by the parties related to supporting students with special education needs. The committee shall meet regularly commencing no later than November 30, 2015 and recommendations will be made to the Minister of Education by April 30, 2016. Terms of reference will be jointly developed to inform the scope of discussions and recommendations.   • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Public Education 7.1.01 Inform and educate the public about vaccines and vaccine- preventable diseases

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Member Education The Contractor shall provide members with general information about the benefits packages covered under the Hoosier Healthwise program. The Contractor shall have policies and procedures in place to ensure that member education information is accurate in content, accurate in translation relevant to language, and do not defraud, mislead, or confuse the member. Member education shall include, but not necessarily limited to the items noted below:

  • Continuing Education 24.01 The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.
