Special Duty Pay. (A) High Work Differential. When an employee is required to perform work more than twenty (20) feet directly above the ground or water and use of safety ropes, scaffolds, boatswain chairs or other similar safety devices are required for support, the employee shall receive a high work differential. Rate: One dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour.
Special Duty Pay. A. Incumbents in Unit 12 classifications currently eligible to receive Diving Pay shall continue to receive such a differential at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per diving hour.

The Fire Chief may assign personnel to special tasks or duties, i.e., computer analyst, video specialists, etc., and when doing so will agree to compensate them at the next-higher rank than the rank they occupy for the duration of the assignment. Special Duty Pay. 1. When the Fire Chief assigns employees on off days for Special Duty, they shall be compensated in cash at a straight time rate computed on the basis of the employees' hourly rate of pay for the average work week in effect as established under the HOURS OF WORK provision of this Agreement.
Special Duty Pay. Special Duty shall be defined as any time off-duty personnel are being compensated to cover public events (i.e. football games, festivals, public gatherings, public relation engagements) as required by a government agency or at the request of the event organizer, for additional fire and/or EMS coverage or appearances that cannot be handled by the on-duty personnel at the time of the event. This time worked shall be compensated in accordance with the overtime section of this Article.
Special Duty Pay. Employees assigned to work in the special duty category of custodial worker shall be paid at ninety percent (90%) of the rate paid for positions in the Custodian* job class.

All such special duties shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times (1.5x) the regular salary. Regulations as to the assignment of such duties shall be in writing to be agreed upon between the Chief of Police and the Association as to the distribution of such assignments.
