Special Courses. The Federation recognizes the District's right and responsibility to offer experimental courses. It is understood that sections of such courses may be offered with fewer students required than the normal class size minimum. It is further understood that such sections as well as courses necessary for students to complete majors and sequences may be offered with fewer students required than the normal class size minimum.
Special Courses. 21.4.1 Special courses are courses or sections of courses that are taught by college professors and which rely on alternate modes of delivery. Alternate modes of delivery may include: teleconference, videoconference, recordings, broadcast, telecast, podcast, webcast delivery via the Internet. Such courses or sections of courses are not associated with a pre-determined workload measure established in 19.3.

Special Courses. The teaching of credit or non-credit courses, mini-courses, modular courses, or other special courses may be a part of their regular teaching load if they’re teaching below the 15 credit or 16 lab hour limit, provided they are within the instructor’s area of competence.
Special Courses. Provide opportunity for Rural Generalist Trainees to participate in selected complementary courses such as Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) provided either as part of the Queensland Government EB6 offer or as an additional component of Rural Generalist Training.

Whenever a special course is announced by an educational institution which results in the improvement of the professional capacity of a firefighter, the Village will arrange to permit as many of the interested personnel in attending such courses and are eligible to do so, keeping in mind the criteria that if only a limited number can attend, seniority will be the primary requirement for eligibility in so far as the Village is concerned. §11.02 If it is not possible to schedule such compulsory courses and training programs during the regularly scheduled tour duty and a firefighter must take part in said courses during his/her off time, then said firefighter shall be paid at the rate of straight time.
Special Courses. 24.1 Special courses, which are recommended as beneficial to the Department, may be taken at the request of the Town and will be paid for by the Town.

The Superintendent may grant approval for tuition reimbursement, in accordance with the provision of Section A. above, for undergraduate courses in the teacher’s assigned area or area to which he/she may be assigned provided the course or a comparable course is not available at the graduate level at Montclair, Kean, Paterson, Seton Hall, or Fairleigh Xxxxxxxxx. Courses reimbursed under this section shall not be applied for horizontal movement. Undergraduate courses shall not be reimbursed after twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) of the tuition reimbursement funds have been committed during any school year.
