SPECIAL AND COMPASSIONATE LEAVE. 43.1 The Employer may grant leave of absence with pay for not more than three (3) scheduled work days in any attendance year as defined in Article 40.1 to an employee upon any special or compassionate ground and the period of the leave shall be charged against the attendance credits of the employee unless otherwise herein provided.
