Sound. Sound must be muted at all times unless permission is obtained from the teacher for instructional purposes. External earphones should not be used unless permission is obtained from the teacher.

Sound. Community living requires that individuals and groups monitor their sound levels at all times out of courtesy and respect for other students and to promote an environment that is conducive to student success. During times not designated as quiet hours, residents and their guests must limit noise so as to reasonably avoid disturbing other residents. Residents are expected to comply with the requests of others to reduce noise levels at all times. During Quiet Hours, it is each resident’s responsibility to be certain that no noise can be heard outside of their room/suite or in neighboring rooms, halls, shared common spaces, or outside of the building.

Sound. (a) Performers will not exceed a maximum sound pressure level of 90db indoors during the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday- Friday, 100db indoors during the hours of 5:00pm-Midnight, Sunday-Saturday, and 104 db outdoors at the Front of House mix location with a professional decibel meter set on fast response. Level check will be made throughout the performance including sound checks. Performers must be prepared to lower level of stage amps in order to ascertain a good mix and stay within the limits set.
