Social Worker. For the purpose of payment of salary under Table 1, Rates of Pay, of Part B, a social worker shall be graded at 2nd year of the scale where the employee has obtained any of the following (i) a degree in social work from a recognised university requiring at least four years full-time study; or (ii) a degree in social work and diploma from a recognised university requiring at least four years full-time study; or (iii) qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer.

Social Worker. To be eligible to be appointed to a social worker position, a person must-- (A) hold a master’s degree in social work from a college or university approved by the Secretary; and (B) be licensed or certified to independently practice social work in a State, except that the Secretary may waive the requirement of licensure or certification for an individual social worker for a reasonable period of time recommended by the Under Secretary of Health.

Social Worker. The Committee agrees that when any member of the bargaining unit is required to earn educational credits as a condition of maintaining a license, said staff member shall receive one (1) in-service credit for every fifteen (15) contact hours of continuing education provided the Superintendent or his/her designee has been informed in writing of said continuing education before it begins.

Social Worker. The term IEP means a written statement for each student eligible for special education that is developed, reviewed, and revised in a meeting in accordance with WAC 392-172A-03095 through 392- 172A-03100.

This Contract does not in any way guarantee the approval of any funding to the Social Worker, and the County does not require that the Social Worker contract exclusively with the County. However, the Social Worker must make every effort to not hold additional employment or contract work that would conflict with any individual cases or overall work under this Contract. The County does not guarantee a minimum amount of work. b. Client files and records shall be maintained in congruence with social work ethics, and, except as precluded by attorney-client or social worker-client privileges, made available to the County for reasonable inspection, audit, and evaluation. The Social Worker or Respondent Parent Counsel must retain such records and client files for a period of at least five years from the completion of the case, unless otherwise required by statute or rule. c. No part of the performance of the Social Worker under this Contract shall be assigned or subcontracted without the written consent of County. All work performed pursuant to this Contract must be performed only by Social Workers who have been approved by and have a current contract with the County. d. When the Social Worker is authorized to provide services for an individual in a Child Protective Proceedings case, the Social Worker shall not receive any fee or expense for any work done on behalf of that individual in that case except as provided for under this Contract or as approved by the County. e.
