Snow Day. That working day when due to inclement weather school has been canceled. (It should be understood that school cancellations may occur due to situations other than snow) If the Superintendent declares a non-working day, then no custodian need report. There will be no deduction from pay or leave. A telephone tree will be used to notify all custodians. If an employee is requested to work on a non-working day, compensatory time will be provided.
Snow Day. Should the College be closed as a result of weather, Employees shall not be considered absent. Those Employees who work on a weather-related closing day shall receive two (2) times their regular pay. Should weather conditions require the College to close during a normal shift Employees are expected to properly close and secure the facilities before their departure at their regular pay.
Snow Day. Administrators shall be entitled to one (1) snow day per academic year to work from home at the time the Superintendent makes the call that schools are closed due to inclement weather. Administrators shall notify their immediate supervisor of the intention to work from home. Supervisors may request evidence of work products as necessary. Annual snow days are not accruable to the next fiscal year and cannot be used for Severance Pay (5:6).
Snow Day. In the event of a snow day or closure due to extenuating circumstances, staff may be assigned a corresponding work day on a date and time to be determined by the School District up to a maximum of two (2) days a contract year.
Snow Day. The Town Manager in his/her discretion may establish a paid snow day on a day that the Town Hall is closed due to a heavy snowfall.
Snow Day. All employees must report to work on snow days regardless of shift. Permission to report on a different shift must come from your supervisor. When schools are closed, the employees not working will not be paid for such days. The employee will work on the rescheduled days of student instruction and will be paid at their regular hourly rate of pay. Cafeteria employees will report to their work stations on the first two (2) snow days. Thereafter, they will not report and will not be paid. If a severe storm(s) should occur and employees are instructed not to report, they shall not be considered absent. Should employees receive unemployment benefits related to Act of God Days, these benefits will be repaid the District through payroll deduction. .
Snow Day. The parties agree that in each year of this agreement two (2) unused snow days shall be returned as a unit holiday for all units, in return for mutual agreement that new teachers effective July 1, 2004, will be required to attend five (5) days orientation/in-service, prior to the start of any contract year, at no additional compensation, and as a condition of employment. New teachers are defined as all those whose initial contractual service begins effective September 1 of a school year. The specifically returned snow days shall require that two (2) extra days shall be added to the Memorial Day weekend and/or any other mutually agreed upon days.
Snow Day. When the Board of Education District Office is closed due to snow/inclement weather, twelve-month employees called in will receive their regular rate of pay.
Snow Day. If school is cancelled by the Superintendent or his/her designee after the employees report for duty, employees shall be paid at their regular rate of pay for that day. Employees will be expected to stay on shift until released by the Head Xxxx.
