Snow and Ice Removal. IPS shall provide snow and ice removal from the sidewalks, parking areas, and driveways at the Facilities at times during School Hours in a manner which will be at a standard that is at least equal to that provided by IPS for IPS schools.

Snow and Ice Removal. We may but we have no obligation to remove the natural accumulation of ice and snow from the sidewalks, walkways, or parking areas. Any voluntary removal by us does not impose a continuing duty for us to do so.

The Manager shall assist the City with the snow and ice removal as requested and with safe operations of the facilities during inclement weather and with safe control of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian. The City shall endeavor to provide 24 hour notice to the Manager. The Manager is prohibited from the use of snow or ice control materials containing sodium chloride or any similar oxidation or corrosion accelerant or inducant. The Manager shall be responsible for clearing sidewalks and pedestrian walkways within the Parking Lots and the adjacent sidewalks. The Manager is also responsible for purchasing and applying ice melt to these areas to ensure pedestrian safety and to have ample inventory of ice melt on-site to address adverse weather conditions. The Manager will be responsible for developing a Winter Weather and Snow Removal Plan and submitting it to the City by September 30th during the first contract year. The Manager will review the Plan and submit updates by October 15th of each contract year thereafter.
Snow and Ice Removal. The Operating Company, on behalf of the Concessionaire, will manage the snow and ice removal services to be provided by the Department and arrange for payment of such services as provided in Section 8.13 of the ARCA.

Snow and Ice Removal. Bargaining unit employees who perform weekend snow and ice removal may accumulate a maximum of sixteen (16) hours per contract year of compensatory time for extra hours worked during weekend snow and ice removal. Such compensatory time shall be given at a rate of one and one-half (1½) times the number of hours worked. Such compensatory time must be used by the end of the contract year. This provision shall not require the bargaining unit employee to elect compensatory time in this circumstance, nor shall it prohibit the Board from flexing bargaining unit employees’ time based on other extra work hours. The use of compensatory time must be scheduled by mutual agreement. If custodians are given more than sixteen (16) hours of compensatory time, bargaining unit employees who perform snow and ice removal will receive the same amount of compensatory time as the custodians.
