Skills Development. The Company acknowledges the changing pace of technology in the electrical contracting industry and the need for employees to understand those changes and have the necessary skill requirements to keep the Company at the forefront of the industry. The Parties to this Agreement recognise that in order to increase the efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of the Company, a commitment to training and skill development is required. Skills Development. The extern will be engaged in a substantial lawyering experience that includes multiple opportunities for performance, feedback, and self-evaluation.
Skills Development. The Company recognises that appropriate training and development is critical for all employees. Training will be directed towards developing a highly skilled and productive work force, and a supportive working environment designed to broaden an employee's skills base. Every employee will be given the opportunity to undertake training, subject to the requirements to maintain productivity levels, the skills needed within the Organisation and the financial constraints of the Company. The Company will endeavour to provide employees with career opportunities through appropriate training and education subject to these opportunities being available. Training programs will be structured to meet all current legislative requirements and where practicable, Training, learning outcomes, assessment and certification will comply with the standards determined by the National Training Board.
Skills Development. These programmes shall relate to the changing needs of Council in order to bring benefits to Council in improved productivity and efficiency and may provide improved career options for employees.
Skills Development. Where an employee has been given the opportunity to learn new skills through a “hands on” training program as a result of a full time vacancy arising, an appropriate skills development time frame will be negotiated. Assignments may include drafting documents, researching and writing memoranda, attending conferences or negotiations and observing or participating in meetings. Administrative work will be kept to a minimum. Feedback: The extern will be provided specific, individualized and timely feedback on their work. Observation: The extern will have opportunities to observe IMO meetings, delegate/staff/strategy meetings, and other appropriate professional activities. Opportunities for Reflection: The extern will meet with his/her supervisor, other members of the Division and staff to discuss his/her observations, experiences, and other issues relevant to the profession.

Skills Development. The opportunity to develop the player’s skills for use after the end of the playing career shall be taken into consideration during the period of employment. The responsibility for such skills development is shared by the employer and the player. Development appraisal meetings shall be held at least once every calendar year and shall be initiated by the employer.
Skills Development. Considering the overall budget, duration of the contract, opportunities for growth in this industry and the industries annual contribution to skills development levies, panel members are expected to develop skills through an engineering degree bursary (from the second year of study) not exceeding R300 000.00 per student at a registered and accredited South African university in favour of a student originating from or residing within the Local Municipality where the service will be consumed. The number of bursaries will be linked to the value spent against the contract over a four year period. The skills development initiative will not be part of the weighting criteria however as a condition for contract award, panel members will offer a minimum second year engineering bursary to assigned beneficiary at a registered and accredited South African university, for every R10 million invoiced of the cumulative contract amount. Training of candidates Panel members will offer an engineering university bursary in favour of a second year or higher student residing within the burg Local Municipality where the service will be consumed for every R10 million invoiced of the cumulative contract amount. The skills development commitment shall be carried out within one month of reaching or exceeding the R10 million threshold.
