Single Stream Recycling. This lot is for the recycling of comingled recyclables which include but are not limited to newspapers, flat cardboard, paper products, cans, bottles, plastics, aluminum and junk mail which are collected and delivered to a Recycler where they are sorted into various commodity streams and recycled. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing appropriate sized containers for single stream materials, servicing the containers and delivering all materials to the Recycler. Pricing for this lot shall be provided for the following container types and sizes:

Single Stream Recycling. The list of items below represents the current materials currently being accepted by WM as Recyclables. This list may expand or contract due to market conditions. Aluminum cans - empty Newspaper PET bottles with the symbol #1 – with screw tops only - empty Mail HDPE plastic bottles with the symbol #2 (milk, water bottles detergent, and shampoo bottles, etc.) – empty Uncoated paperboard (ex. cereal boxes; food and snack boxes) Steel and tin cans – empty Uncoated printing, writing and office paper Phone books Old corrugated containers/cardboard (uncoated) Magazines, glossy inserts and pamphlets Plastic containers with symbols #3-#7 – empty (no expanded polystyrene), empty Glass food and beverage containers – xxxxx, clear, or green - empty Aseptic containers Cartons NON-RECYCLABLES include, but are not limited to the following: Plastic bags and bagged materials (even if containing Recyclables) Microwavable trays Mirrors Window or auto glass Light bulbs Coated cardboard Porcelain and ceramics Plastics unnumbered Expanded polystyrene Coat hangers Glass and metal cookware/bakeware Household appliances and electronics, Hoses, cords, wires Yard waste, construction debris, and wood Flexible plastic or film packaging and multi- laminated materials Needles, syringes, IV bags or other medical supplies Food waste and liquids, containers containing such items Textiles, cloth, or any fabric (bedding, pillows, sheets, etc.) Excluded Materials or containers which contained Excluded Materials Napkins, paper towels, tissue, paper plates, paper cups, and plastic utensils Any Recyclable materials or pieces of Recyclables less than 4” in size in any dimension. Single Stream Recycling. A system in which all Recyclable Materials are collected all mingled together in a collection truck, instead of being sorted into separate commodities. Customers shall put all recyclable products into the Recycling Container.
Single Stream Recycling. “Single Stream Recycling” means the use of a single Container to collect and commingle two or more material types of Recyclables.
Single Stream Recycling. Co-mingled collection, transportation, and processing of recyclable materials. All classes of materials (i.e., paper, cardboard, metals) that are collected in one container either by mechanical or manual means for transport to a recyclable materials processing facility for automated sorting and processing.

Single Stream Recycling. Boston Properties is proud to provide desk side single stream recycling program to all tenant employees in Xxxxxxx Center. This comprehensive recycling program is part of our standard building services. Acceptable materials include: ● paper of any color ● all glossy paper ● newspaper, magazines ● envelopes, including those with windows and/or labels ● all folders, including those with metal hangers and/or hooks ● computer paper, NCR (carbonless) forms and checks ● Paper that has been paper clipped, stapled, and/or taped ● Notebooks or folders that have plastic tabs or are bound together with plastic or wire spirals ● cardboard ● glass or aluminum bottles and cans ● ANY empty plastic item with the recycling symbol 17 on it Unacceptable materials include: ● overnight mail packaging ● paper towels, facial tissue ● plastic, Styrofoam, or waxed cups ● waxed paper ● rubber ● wood ● items that have to be dismantled into separate materials (staplers, pens, etc.) Each night, our cleaners collect the trash in one bin and the recycling in another. Sometimes there are separate porters for trash and recycling while at other times, they will bring the bins together. Trash and recycling are placed in separate compactors on the loading dock. The trash is then removed and disposed of while the recycling is picked up and brought to a sorting facility to separate and recycle the various elements. As plastic liners are not recyclable, blue recycle bins are not lined. It is the responsibility of the tenant to make sure these bins remain clean. If you are interested in having plastic liners placed in these bins, please contact tenant services for a proposal as this is a billable expense. All paper leaves the property weekly in locked compactors and is bailed at the recycling company’s warehouse. Although confidentiality is reasonably preserved through this process, tenants may choose to shred particularly sensitive documents before placing them in the recycling receptacles By fully utilizing the blue desk side recycle bin, your occupants can : ● contribute to the environment by recycling more waste ● reduces operating expenses at Xxxxxxx Center Additional Recycling

Single Stream Recycling. Contractor shall provide for Residential Units curbside 103 collection of Single Stream recycle materials one (1) time every-other-week with 35, 104 65, or 96-gallon recycling cart plus two (2) additional containers (up to 30 gallon). 105 Cardboard should be flattened and tied in bundles. 106 The Contractor will provide recycling collection services to all Residential Customers 107 within the City for the following: 108 ▪ Green, brown and clear glass 109 ▪ Plastics #1-7 (except #6- Styrofoam) 110 ▪ Aluminum, tin, and steel cans 111 ▪ Paper Products: newsprint, cardboard, boxboard, junk mail, magazines, 112 and office paper. 113 Any other materials for which a recycling market may exist and which the parties 114 hereto agree can be added to the recycling program. 115 The Contractor will be responsible for marketing the collection of recyclable materials. 116 If a material cannot be effectively marketed for recycling, the Contractor may 117 eliminate that product from this program. If additional materials can be added to the 118 program the Contractor will notify the City. 119 Contractor may decline to collect any recyclable material not in cart provided.
