Single Day Vacations. 1. In order to take single day vacations, an employee must bid a minimum of three (3) weeks.
Single Day Vacations. One week of vacation, five (5) working days may be requested one day at a time by day workers only, provided three (3) days notice is given to the employee’s supervisor. In no case will vacation be given after the fact. It shall be understood that the supervisor will make every effort to grant this request taking into consideration the operational needs of the plant.
Single Day Vacations. Effective June 1st, 2009, employees entitled to four or more week’s annual vacation may at the employee’s option, split one week’s vacation into one day blocks or blocks amounting to a total of the week’s entitlement. Time off in this provision will be arranged to be taken at a time to be mutually acceptable to the employee and the Company. All reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate employee’s requested dates. There will be no splitting weeks during prime time.
Single Day Vacations. Employees may also use single vacation days as sick leave when sick leave is exhausted. This however does not absolve the employee from progressive discipline with attendance points for unexcused absences when sick leave is exhausted.
Single Day Vacations. An employee may take up to one week of his annual vacation in single day increments, provided, however, that such employee shall be automatically marked up for service upon the expiration of any single day vacation. [Added by 1996 NA]
Single Day Vacations. Employees are allowed one single day vacation per shift page. Request must be turned in a minimum of 72 hours prior to the vacation day and are not to be used during the following holidays: Christmas, New Year’s Day and Thanksgiving Day. Note: If two (2) or more employees are away, either on vacation, sick or school, single vacation days shall be allowed only if it does not incur overtime or present an undue hardship to the department.
