Signage and Wayfinding. Signage relating to the flow of traffic and processing of passengers within the Agency control zone is the responsibility of the Operator. Such signage must be maintained to facilitate the speedy passage of people and goods through the border. Where changes to signage have been exceptionally provided at cost to the Agency, responsibility for maintaining that signage will be transferred to the Operator after an agreed transitional period. The Agency will only request changes to the signage within its control zone where necessary and reasonable to do so. The implementation of these changes will be the responsibility of the operator. The Agency recognises that it is the first point of contact in the UK for many travellers and will work with the operator to ensure that signage is not inconsistent with that purpose.
