Common use of Sickness during annual leave Clause in Contracts

Sickness during annual leave. An employee who is sick while on annual leave and who produces a medical certificate or other satisfactory evidence covering the period of illness, is entitled to convert such period to paid personal leave if the employee has sufficient personal leave credit to do so. In these circumstances the employee will be re-credited with the annual leave during which the illness occurred and for which personal leave is now being taken.

Sickness during annual leave. An If an employee who is sick while on annual leave and who produces has a medical certificate or other satisfactory evidence covering the period of illnesssick leave of 5 days or more whilst on Annual Leave, is entitled to convert then such period to paid personal leave if the employee has sufficient personal leave credit to do so. In these circumstances the employee will can be re-credited with (subject to the annual provision of a certificate from a registered health practitioner). The period of such leave during which shall then be deducted from the illness occurred and for which personal leave is now being takenemployee's credit of sick leave.

In these circumstances the employee affected will be re-credited with and the annual employees sick leave during which entitlement will be debited the illness occurred and for which personal leave is now being takencorresponding amount.
