Sickness during annual leave. 43.12.1 Where an Employee becomes sick or injured whilst on annual leave on a day on which he or she would otherwise have worked, and immediately forwards to the Employer a certificate of a registered health practitioner, then the number of days specified in this certificate shall be deducted from any sick leave entitlement standing to the Employee's credit, and shall be re-credited to his or her annual leave entitlement.

Sickness during annual leave. Where an employee becomes sick whilst on annual leave on days on which he/she would otherwise have worked, and immediately forwards to the employer a certificate of a legally qualified medical practitioner or other relevant practitioner, or a statutory declaration, as evidence of being unfit for work then the number of those days specified in the certificate or statutory declaration shall be deducted from any sick leave entitlement standing to the employee’s credit, and shall be re-credited to his/her annual leave entitlement. If annual leave loading as provided for in 30.10 has been paid in respect of sick days referred to in this subclause, such leave loading shall not be re-credited.
Sickness during annual leave. An employee who is sick while on annual leave and who produces a medical certificate or other satisfactory evidence covering the period of illness, is entitled to convert such period to paid personal leave if the employee has sufficient personal leave credit to do so. Sickness during annual leave. 8.1 An employee who falls sick during annual leave should be regarded as being on sick leave from the date of the medical certificate and further annual leave suspended from that date. Where an employee is absent, due to sickness, annual leave will accrue in the normal way. Please note that this does not apply to staff who are Silver Book postholders.

If annual leave loading as provided for in clause 37.8 of this Agreement has been paid in respect of personal leave days referred to in this subclause, such leave loading shall not be re-credited.
Sickness during annual leave. If an employee can provide evidence satisfactory to the employer that he/she suffered an illness or injury during annual leave and has been hospitalised for a period of five consecutive days or more, he/she shall be entitled to draw upon any accumulated sick leave entitlement, provided that such hospitalisation is not related to any work performed within the incidence of the Award. A re-credit of the annual leave entitlement shall be made for the relevant period during which sick leave is allowed.
