Sick Leave While on Annual Leave. Employees on annual leave who become ill or injured, qualifying for sick leave, may change their annual leave request to sick leave within five (5) calendar days of returning to duty, or by the fifth (5th) of the following month if at the end of the month.

Sick Leave While on Annual Leave. If employees become ill or are injured while on Annual Leave, they may, draw upon accumulated Sick Leave to cover the period and have their Annual Leave restored by an equal amount of time. If they wish to utilize Sick Leave for more than three (3) consecutive days during this period, the employee must present a doctor’s certificate verifying such illness or injury. The provisions of #6 above apply to sick leave used while on annual leave.

  • Use of Vacation Leave for Sick Leave Purposes The Employer may allow an employee who has used all of his or her sick leave to use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 A. An employee who has used all of his or her sick leave may use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 B – H.

  • Deductions from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of holidays) absent for sick leave.
